💙 Plymouth GTX 💙
This gorgeous Plymouth was dropped off to us happily running and driving with very much the 1960’s basic features, so obviously it was time for some modernisation.
With a big pile of parts supplied with her, it was time to get to work, we started off with a strip down of the front ancillaries and a bit of a clean up, next we removed the old manual steering box and column.
Then we started pouring in the new parts, a new water pump followed by the addition of a power steering pump and power steering box.
We modified the steering column and reassembled the front of the engine.
To improve the feel of the car further we also replaced all the front suspension bushes and added a nice brake disc conversion to give her a little more stopping power.
Once the new master cylinder, proportioning valve and brake booster kit had been installed, it was time to make some new brake lines to connect it all.
Now back on her feet it was time for a 4 wheel alignment to bring all the new parts together.
We finished her up with a little tune up on the dyno, now she goes, turns and stops just as Plymouth had always intended!
