🔴Paint Correction & Ceramic Coating🔴

Last week, we welcomed this stunning Sport in Firenze Red, for a stage of machine polishing work and ceramic coating to all surfaces and wheels.

🫧After our usual comprehensive preparatory work consisting of a safe wash, full chemical decontamination and clay treatment where necessary, we carried out a stage of machine polishing work.

✨As well as perfecting the finish, this machine work ensured we had the best possible paint surface to allow the ceramic coating to properly bond to. We carried out two stages of machine work (heavier cutting followed by refinement) on a couple of scratches as well as all of the gloss black areas of the car - ensuring maximum depth and clarity.

🛘The owner was looking to have the best possible layer of protection laid down, protecting the paintwork from UV damage, road grime buildup, and chemical staining.
Angelwax Global Genesis was perfect for this. We also coated both the glass with “Exodus.”

🛞The wheels were removed, decontaminated, machine polished and then the faces, backs and barrels coated with Angelwax Global “Legacy”.

Creating an extremely hard hydrophobic surface, the ceramic naturally allows for much easier and safer washing, maintaining a repellent, slick surface 💨

Maintenance of this brand new, perfected finish will be a breeze on this car👌

This week for a friend and customer, with us we had this cracking Ranger Rover Sport presented in “Santorini Black,” for paint correction and ceramic coating.

We carried out a minimum of 2 stages of paint correction on all of the paintwork - this involved starting with a heavy cutting compound flattening the finish, and then following with a fine finishing compound.

On some of the most heavily scratched areas, 3 stages of machine work were carried out - heavy wool cutting with a rotary machine, medium cut polishing, followed by a stage of refinement to unlock maximum depth and clarity.

As well as perfecting the finish, this machine work ensured we had the best possible paint surface to allow the ceramic coating to properly bond to.

The owner was looking to have the best possible layer of protection laid down, protecting the paintwork from UV damage, road grime buildup, and chemical staining.

❌REFLECTION SHOTS ❌
I very rarely rant, but this does my head in and I will not be the only one.

Photo 1 and 2 are of the same wheel arch, in the SAME condition 🤯
Photo 3 is of the finish after a stage of cutting under lighting ✅

Every trade unfortunately will be home to those who use shortcuts and camera angles to try and hide reality. Detailing as an industry unfortunately due to its very nature, in my opinion, is home to more of those than any other. Yes, ANY other.

Whilst at the end of the day the job is making cars shiny, customers are paying for perfection. We believe that should be delivered, and not falsely advertised by those incapable of doing so.

“Paint Correction” is the process of correcting paint by means of sanding/polishing/refinement to achieve a surface that is free of imperfections - scratches/swirls in this case. Nothing more, nothing less.

Reflections shots passed off as paint correction are misleading and lies.

The success of this process is reliant on proper working conditions (indoors with proper lighting), and results can ONLY be seen under said conditions……

YES - LIGHT!! 💡

Would you normally go take a photo of something and then look for water to instead take its reflection? No. 😂

Choose your detailer carefully - it’s not cheap for a reason! 💸

It’s all in the details. Being 20 years old, the brake callipers on this GT Silver Boxster were letting down the rest of the car.

A proper preparation, paint job and OEM Porsche stickers really lifted the vehicle back to its former glory ❤️‍🩹

BMW X3 - Paint Correction & 5Y Ceramic Coating

We welcomed this BMW in solid Alpine White, to the unit for paintwork correction and ceramic coating.

We carried out a single stage of machine polishing work using a light cutting compound, in this case removing 90-95% of swirling/imperfections. Heavier cutting as required before more refined finishing on more damaged areas, namely the boot loading strip and B-pillars ✔️

As well as perfecting the finish, this machine work ensured we had the best possible paint surface to allow the ceramic coating to properly bond to.
