Back in 2015 I wanted to fit a standalone ECU to my 1998 Glanza V and at the time there were only a handful of Starlet owners who had fitted one.
The two main Starlet tuning specialists were at least a 5 hour drive away and it meant months without my car, which was my daily.
I wondered if it was possible to just order a wiring loom from one of these companies and fit it myself and have the car tuned locally 🤔
It was possible to order a K20 swap standalone engine loom for a EG Civic so I knew it must be possible to do this for a Starlet too.
I was told it wasn't possible and I was quoted £2200-2500 for a DTAFast S40 ECU, crank trigger, new (OEM bodged) wiring loom and mapping. That was over 10 years ago and we offer a brand new, better than factory spec wiring loom, without mapping, for just over £1500 bundled with the Link ECU G4X Atom!
