Waterways Experiences (WEXP) is an organisation promoting accessible canal boating for everyone. Come and learn how to steer a canal boat and try your hand at working the locks. Fully equipped and skippered boats available for day trips for up to 35 passengers and residential trips. Experience the beauty of the Grand Union canal near Kings Langley in a fun and safe environment. Our boats are fully

adapted to take wheelchairs. Each summer, we supplement our regular programme of day trips with some very special residential holidays for small numbers of disadvantaged young people. In 2017 we added some weekend trips for young carers – people whose daily lives include a large measure of caring for a sibling or parent. We are a charity completely run by volunteers. We are open for business throughout the year, but please contact us at least four weeks ahead of your proposed trip date. Late Spring and Summer dates are booking fast, so we recommend even earlier reservations for these to be sure of getting your preferred date. Don’t miss out, book today! Booking Availability Update

We hope we can find a date for your trip, but we are experiencing a very busy year!

Our largest boat, Shedrake III, is fully booked until November, and December is proving equally popular, with only a few dates available after Christmas.

Our smaller, cosy widebeam boats are booked until the end of September.

To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking at least one month before your preferred travel date.

Bookings for 2027 will open in October.

You can sit back and enjoy the company of the rest of your group, absorbing the peace and calm of the boat gliding along in leisurely fashion.
