The APIO narrow-body conversion was designed to give Jimny owners the best of both worlds: the narrow width of the slimline JB64 660cc Jimny (great for traversing narrow off-road trails!), while benefitting from the JB74’s 1.5 litre engine.

It’s certainly not for everyone but, when paired with APIO’s tactical bumpers on our own Jimny, it’s certainly distinctive!

Same but different! Our 15” HIGH PEAK J-02 wheels are on the JB43 Jimny, while our 16” HIGH PEAK J-01 wheels are on our JB74 Jimny. Both sets are finished in Vintage White!

Simple bolt-on upgrades that transform the Jimny in just a few minutes!

This customer drove their Jimny straight from the dealership forecourt to our workshop for a quick overhaul.

We replaced the original front grille with our Retro Grille and also added the Tactical Grille Badge while we were at it, giving the front of the Jimny a whole new look.

The original steel wheels were swapped out for a set of our ever-popular 16” Magpie M-01s with optional black wheel nuts, wrapped in a set of BF Goodrich KO3 tyres that fill the wheel arches perfectly. No need for additional modifications - this setup works perfectly with the standard suspension and front bumper.

The APIO Tactical Front Bumper provides additional clearance compared to the standard bumper, allowing us to use 235/70R16 tyres on these BRADLEY V Evolution wheels without any clearance issues.

However, in this size, the tyres are very heavy and have an adverse effect on acceleration due to their increased rolling radius, which is why our preferred 16” tyre size is typically 215/70R16 (which still looks awesome!).

We refitted a set of our 16” HIGH PEAK J-01 wheels to our SZ5 Jimny just before the weekend, and we couldn’t help but do some reminiscing back to when our first stock delivery of them arrived in late 2020!

Here are some photos from our original photoshoot from over five years ago, along with a couple from the past few days.

It was a huge risk designing an original wheel during that period in time, along with the costs associated with creating a mould at the factory in Italy and producing the first 500 wheels. It all worked out ok in the end though, and they’re still one of our most popular wheels to this day!

The HIGH PEAK J-01 is available from both our UK and EU warehouses.

We kitted out this awesome 5-door Jimny Nomade with our Touring suspension kit, Pipercross air intake, Magpie M-01 wheels and various LED and interior accessories.

These 5-doors are really starting to grow on us - I think it’s time we got our hands on one to start a new JimnyStyle project!
