EMSTAR is looking for experienced, DERADI qualified instructors to support the delivery of the Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving (CERAD) for Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

We have a number of exciting self-employed opportunities available across Yorkshire, with flexible locations and various training dates.

What's on offer?

Competitive pay: £1,200 per week
Various dates: November 2026 to February 2027
Multiple locations: Hull, York, Wakefield and Doncaster
Flexible opportunities: Assignments ranging from 5 days to 4 weeks

Are you an ADI looking for flexible, well-paid weekday work?

EMSTAR is looking for self-employed ADIs to support the delivery of Patient Transport Services driver training across the East Midlands Ambulance Service area.

This is an opportunity to make a real difference, supporting safe patient transport while working locally and around your existing commitments.

📍 Locations include:
• Lincoln
• Nottingham
• Leicester
• Northampton

📅 Working pattern:
• Monday to Friday
• 8:00am – 4:00pm
• 3:1 student-to-instructor ratio
• Several instructors required

💷 Pay: £1,100 per week, paid the following week.

Essential criteria:
✔ Qualified ADI
✔ Strong knowledge of Driving - The Essential Skills, The Highway Code and Know Your Traffic Signs
✔ Enthusiasm for supporting the NHS road safety campaign

Knowledge of Roadcraft, The Police Driver’s Handbook or The Ambulance Driver’s Handbook by the Driver Training Advisory Group (DTAG) is also desirable.

Who is the course for?
The qualification is suitable for people employed by, or contracted to, an NHS Trust or CQC Registered Ambulance Service with the required authorisation.

How long is the course?
📅 Three weeks, Monday to Friday
⏱ 8 hours per day
📘 120 guided learning hours
✍️ 45 independent study hours

How are learners assessed?
Assessment includes practical assessments, independent assessment, multiple-choice papers and a learner workbook.

How much does it cost?
Courses start from £3,125 + VAT. Last-minute places may also become available at discounted rates.
