🔧 Another Defender saved from the rot! 🔧

This Defender came into RW4X4 needing some serious attention at the rear. Once stripped down, you can see exactly how far the corrosion had gone. That old crossmember had definitely served its time! 😬

Out with the rotten steel and in with a brand-new galvanised rear crossmember with extensions from DDS Metal Services LTD

A massive improvement and, more importantly, a strong long-term repair that should keep this Defender going for many more years.

Had this Range Rover P38 in for an airbag fault. 🔧

Using our diagnostics, we traced the problem to a dry solder joint. Repaired, tested and the airbag fault is now cleared. ✅

🔧 Not every head gasket job ends with just a new gasket…

This Defender came into RW4X4 with a suspected head gasket failure. Once stripped down, further inspection revealed damage to cylinder 2, meaning a simple repair wasn’t going to cut it.

✅ Replacement engine block
✅ Cylinder head skimmed
✅ Pressure tested head
✅ Engine rebuilt with new components
✅ Now it’s time to get everything back together and back where it belongs!

We don’t believe in shortcuts. We diagnose the problem properly, carry out the repairs to a high standard, and make sure the job is done right the first time.

This TD5 came into us for a freshen up and left with a long list of upgrades, ready for many more years on and off the road.

✅ New suspension, lowered 1” for a cleaner stance and improved handling
✅ 30mm wheel spacers
✅ Chassis treated and painted in Buzzweld 2K WAR for long-lasting protection
✅ Side steps fitted
✅ New bucket seats installed for improved comfort and support
✅ LOF Power spring and slave cylinder upgrade
✅ Plus plenty more attention to detail throughout the build.
