If you are involved in a collision which causes damage or injury to any other person, vehicle, animal or property, you MUST

- stop

- give your own and the vehicle owner’s name and address, and the registration number of the vehicle, to anyone having reasonable grounds for requiring them

- if you do not give your name and address at the time of the collision, report it to the police as soon as reasonably practicable, and in any case within 24 hours

Anticipation and planning is a skill that takes time to master and is not expected to be mastered immediately. To effectively anticipate a potential hazard requires that you must be constantly aware of your surroundings.

This includes around the immediate 360 degree vicinity by making use of mirrors and blind spots and continuing up the road as far as you can see. Once you have anticipated a potential hazard, to then plan the appropriate action for the given situation. Your driving instructor will help develop these essential skills until you are proficient

On your hazard perception test, you should click any location where you believe a hazard could develop. However, you shouldn’t click in random places or click multiple times in a single location. There is a click limit during the Hazard Perception Test and if you exceed it, you could lose marks and fail the test.

A disabled badge holder only sign means only vehicles with a blue badge are permitted to park here.

It doesn’t matter how long you want to stay, whether it’s for ten minutes or five hours, you can only park here if you are a blue badge holder. If you have a blue badge, you must display this at the front of your car.
