Modern technology, classic Porsche.

This Porsche Panamera S was with us on Friday for a wireless Apple CarPlay retrofit, seamlessly integrated into the original Porsche PCM 3.1 infotainment system.

Rather than replacing the factory radio, we upgraded the original PCM system to add wireless Apple CarPlay, giving the customer all the convenience of modern connectivity while maintaining the factory look and feel Porsche intended.

Once installed, the system connects automatically when you get in the car, giving quick access to:
✔ Wireless Apple CarPlay
✔ Satellite navigation including Google Maps, Apple Maps and Waze
✔ Music streaming and podcasts
✔ Hands-free calling and messaging
✔ Siri voice control

It’s one of our favourite upgrades for PCM 3.1-equipped Porsches, bringing today’s technology to a vehicle without compromising its originality.

We recently had this 2015 SEAT Ibiza in for a diagnostic check.

The customer reported a clicking noise coming from inside the dash, so the first step was to run a full diagnostic on the vehicle and check which faults were actually relevant.

The scan did show a few other faults on the car, but most of them were not linked to the clicking noise.

The fault that mattered was with the recirculation flap motor.

This motor controls part of the heater and ventilation system. Internally, the gear drive inside the motor had failed, which was causing the repeated clicking noise from behind the dash.

Unfortunately, this type of failure cannot be repaired properly, so the vehicle will need a new recirculation flap motor fitted.

This is why proper diagnostics matter. A vehicle can have several stored faults, but not every fault is related to the problem the customer is hearing or feeling.

A clear diagnostic process helps find the real issue without guessing or replacing parts that are not needed.

If your vehicle has strange noises, warning lights, electrical faults, or interior control issues, get in touch with Audio Division.

Yesterday we had this Ford Kuga in for a front and rear dash cam refit.

This was for a returning customer who had upgraded his vehicle while we were closed during surgery recovery.

We had previously supplied and fitted his Thinkware Q800 front and rear dash cam system to his old vehicle. He asked if we could supply a new wiring kit and refit the cameras into the Kuga.

As this was equipment we had originally supplied and installed, we were happy to help get it moved across properly.

A quality dash cam system does not always need to be replaced when you change vehicle. In many cases, if the equipment is still in good working order, it can be refitted with the correct wiring kit and installed neatly into the new car.

The Thinkware Q800 is still a solid front and rear dash cam system, giving the customer added protection on the road and while parked.

A clean refit, a new vehicle, and another returning customer looked after.

The workshop will be closed this weekend for a little bit of R&R.

It’s that time of year again, and we’re looking forward to a few days away at Goodwood Festival of Speed, surrounded by some very special cars, proper motorsport history, and plenty of inspiration.

These pictures are from a previous visit, and they’re exactly the kind of thing that reminds us why we love this industry so much.

From classic race cars to modern performance vehicles, events like Goodwood are a great reminder that cars are not just transport. They’re passion, engineering, design, sound, and emotion all rolled into one.

We’ll be back after the weekend, refreshed and ready to get stuck back into the installs.

Messages and enquiries will still be picked up when we can, but replies may be a little slower than usual.

A cheeky little upgrade on our own Audi Q7.

For the last few years, this has been running Audison Prima AP165P speakers with Audison AP2 wide range speakers.

A solid setup, but now it’s time for the next stage.

The new Audison Voce II speakers are now in the doors, and we’re custom 3D printing parts for the next part of the upgrade.

The amplifier and subwoofer setup is also changing, with the old equipment being shelved ready for another project we already have planned.

Our own vehicles give us the chance to test, refine, and improve the way we build systems before applying that experience to customer cars.

This Q7 is far from finished.

Yesterday we had a returning customer back in with his latest purchase, a BMW X6.

We’ve completed numerous installs for this customer over the years, so it was great to see him back with the new vehicle.

While we were closed for surgery recovery, he changed cars and was not able to remove everything from his previous install. Luckily, he managed to salvage his Audison APBX 8 AS subwoofer, so we were able to refit it into the X6 and bring some of that low-end performance back.

This is a great example of why choosing quality equipment matters. Good audio products can often be reused, refitted, and enjoyed again when you change vehicles.

The Audison APBX 8 AS is a compact active subwoofer, making it a solid option when you want more bass without taking over the whole boot.

A clean refit, a familiar customer, and a BMW X6 now sounding much better than when it arrived.

Today we had this 2019 SEAT Ibiza FR in for a parking sensor retrofit.

The vehicle came from factory without parking sensors or a reverse camera, and the customer wanted a clean and practical upgrade fitted for his son.

This model can be set up with a three-sensor system from factory, but we chose to install a four-sensor setup for better rear coverage and a more balanced finish across the bumper.

Each sensor was painted to match the vehicle, giving it a neat factory-style look once fitted.

The full installation, including painting, took just under four hours.

A great upgrade for safer and easier parking, especially for new drivers or anyone who wants a bit more confidence when reversing.

Looking to add parking sensors, a reverse camera, or both to your vehicle? Get in touch with Audio Division.

We had this 2016 Ford C-Max with a completely unresponsive screen and no control over the infotainment system. The radio was still playing, but the customer couldn’t change stations, access settings or use any of the screen functions.

Our initial diagnosis pointed towards a failed factory APIM — the processor responsible for controlling the Ford SYNC system.

We removed the unit and sent it away for specialist testing, where it was confirmed to be faulty. The APIM was repaired and the software upgraded, giving the customer updated navigation maps along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

What started as a repair ended up becoming a worthwhile upgrade, restoring the system and adding modern smartphone connectivity at the same time.

Another factory system repaired rather than unnecessarily replaced.

This 2019 Jaguar F-Type SVR came to Audio Division with the factory Meridian Surround system — but the owner wanted more clarity, better control and a soundstage that matched the character of the car.

At the heart of the upgrade is an Audison C8.14 DSP amplifier, securely mounted using a bespoke bracket designed specifically for the installation.

The C8.14 gives us full control over the system, allowing us to create a custom EQ curve, individually tune each speaker and apply precise time alignment for a more focused and balanced listening experience.

The front doors were upgraded with:

Audison AP8 woofers in our bespoke mounts
Audison Voce 3-inch midrange drivers
Audison AP1P tweeters

The factory rear subwoofers were also upgraded to deliver deeper, cleaner and better-controlled bass.

To integrate with the Jaguar’s factory system, we used a specialist Ethernet decoder to convert the original digital audio signal into a clean optical output for the Audison processor.

Key areas were treated with Dynamat sound deadening, while acoustic diffuser foam was installed behind the rear panels to reduce unwanted resonance, limit rattles and improve bass reproduction.

Three days of design, installation and tuning — all completed while retaining the Jaguar’s original appearance and controls.

This is what we mean by:
