Road Trip 🚗😎

The workshop is officially closed as we hit the road for the IAAF Automechanika Awards tomorrow. 🎉

A massive thanks to the team for powering through the workload! 💪

We’re closed for the rest of today, Wednesday, and Thursday, reopening Friday the 5th for pre-booked repairs only.

All Hands On Deck 🫡

It’s our last full day in the workshop before we hit the road to Birmingham tomorrow for the IAAF Automechanika Awards! 🚗💨

The tools are out, the coffee is strong, and the whole team is absolutely flying through our current jobs today. We're doing everything we can to make sure all the vehicles currently in the garage are sorted, signed off, and back on the road before we lock up. ☕🔧

Because of the big trip, we are now fully booked until we get back. Our diary is open from Tuesday the 9th onwards for bookings, and as always we will keep short notice spaces available.💪

Ever seen an engine arrive in the boot of a car? 🤯

When we recovered this Audi A4 in for a full engine replacement, we didn’t find the old engine under the bonnet. Instead, it had been stripped down and was riding in the boot. 🚗

This engine didn't just quietly fail; it went out with a bang. This is what catastrophic mechanical failure looks like. 💥🔧

We are working through fitting the replacement engine. Stay tuned to see how the rebuild goes. 👀

🎉BIG NEWS! Brian is an Auto-Mechanik of the Year Finalist! 🏆

We are absolutely buzzing to announce that our founder, director, and lead auto-electrician, Brian, has been officially shortlisted as a finalist for Auto-Mechanik of the Year at the Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards 2026! 🥳

Anyone who has brought their car to us knows how much passion, technical skill, and late-night problem-solving Brian puts into this garage. To see his expertise recognised on a national level alongside the absolute best in the UK aftermarket is a massive honour.

There's nothing we love more than a customer being recommended to us with a tricky electrical gremlin! 🤝

This Range Rover Sport came to us with a major starting issue - a total breakdown in communication between the starter button and the starter motor. It’s exactly the kind of fault that usually results in thousands of pounds worth of new modules or full wiring looms if you take it to a main dealer. 🛑💸

Instead of just throwing expensive new parts at the problem, we got our hands dirty. As you can see in the photo, we traced the fault to a broken wire hidden deep inside the harness. To give the customer a permanent, reliable fix, we completed a full rewire from ECU to fuse box.
