Beyond the busy marinas of Torbay, Dartmouth, and Salcombe lie the spots most people miss.

The crew on Lumina Grace kindly shared their boating adventures.

Having only just arrived at our new home port of Noss on Wednesday with our new vessel, we decided to start the weekend early.
Family joined us from various locations, and we made the most of the beautiful weather.
On Thursday, the tides were perfect for an evening trip up to the Maltsters Arms, where we enjoyed a wonderful supper, topped off with an amazing sunset.
Friday saw us anchored overnight at Redgate Beach – often called “Torquay’s Med” – in my hometown, where I spent my childhood. It was a fantastic day and a peaceful evening at anchor.
On Saturday, we headed into Torquay Marina for a trip down memory lane, finishing the day with supper at Rockfish. The fresh sea bream was absolutely delicious.

Beyond the busy marinas of Torbay, Dartmouth, and Salcombe lie the spots most people miss.

Cruising the South Devon coastline is about more than just the destination; it’s about the hidden inlets you find along the way. Whether it’s the ruins at Elberry Cove or the silence of Soar Mill, these are the moments that define a summer on the water.

What’s your favourite local go-to "secret" local anchorage?
