Not every warning light is a major failure — but on a McLaren, it’s never something to ignore.

This 570S arrived with a persistent misfire and drivability issues. After a full diagnostic process and systematic testing, we traced the fault to the root cause rather than just throwing parts at it.

Fault rectified, components replaced where required, then fully road tested and rechecked to ensure everything was performing exactly as it should.

Now back to delivering the smooth power and response a McLaren is meant to have.

If your car feels “slightly off”, there’s usually a reason for it.

Today marks 4 years of STB Automotive.

Over the last few years, we’ve worked hard to position ourselves as Scotland’s independent McLaren specialist.

From routine servicing to complex diagnostics, track prep, and GT4 support…
We’ve built this around doing things properly, every single time.

But none of it happens without the people behind it.

To every McLaren owner who’s trusted us with their car…
To those travelling across Scotland and beyond to use us…
To everyone who’s recommended us, supported us, and backed what we’re building…

Thank you.

We’re proud of what we’ve built — but we’re even more focused on where it’s going.

The aim is simple:
To be the go-to name for McLaren in Scotland and the north of England.

We’re just getting started

Driveshaft seal replace. Geometry perfected. This M2 now delivers the balance and precision BMW engineered it for.
When the setup’s right, the car comes alive.

This Lamborghini Aventador came in for new secondary injection valves and a rear camera fix — the kind of detailed work these cars demand.

Every system, every sensor, every bolt — it all matters when you’re working at this level.

At STB Automotive, we keep supercars running the way they were built to: flawlessly.
