After a hard-fought season the PCGB Championship closed out at Snetteron, our driver Pete Morris of PMC Midlands secured 3rd place overall in the Porsche Club GB Motorsport championship!

We call him Podium Pete for a reason! After a brilliantly driven season and some consistent, strong results, Pete managed to clinch 3rd place overall, with our other brilliant driver, our very own Chris Dyer, close behind in 4th. Pete and Chris fought a hard battle all season, with some incredible drives from them both.

We would like to say a big thank you to all the techs in our Leeds workshop and all the motorsport techs for giving up their weekends to provide support, we couldn’t do it without you. And a huge thanks to Chris Dyer, for proving your expertise and building our awesome race engines in-house at Strasse.

A massive thanks to all of the officials and volunteers, and to the Porsche Club GB, for their hard work in bringing the championship to a huge variety of circuits across the country.

A final congratulations to Pete and Chris on behalf of all of us at Strasse, very well-earned results.

We’ve all heard tales of the dreaded IMS bearing. It’s not as scary as a lot of people think! It’s something that can be addressed while the gearbox is out, often while other work is being undertaken.

This 996 3.4 came into us with heavily corroded brake pipes over the gearbox and a severe oil leak at the rear. While the gearbox was removed, we took the opportunity to replace the IMS bearing with an upgraded EPS IMS bearing. See picture 4 for a comparison between the new and the old bearing.

We also checked the clutch whilst the gearbox was out, a logical step while we have access.

Another busy week in the workshop! 🛠️

We had a 987 Porsche Cayman in for new front suspension arms, see picture 5 for how the old arms looked.

Another standout car was this 991.1 Porsche 911 Turbo S, in for a 12 year service. This is an extensive service, which includes: engine oil and filter, air filter, cabin filter, spark plugs, brake fluid, auxiliary belt and a PDK service.

Does it get better than a red 911? ❤️

We’re pleased to present this 2020 Porsche 911 (992.1) Carrera Cabriolet. This example is finished in Carmine red with a red fabric roof. It’s a low mileage car, with full service history.
