The dreaded 2.0 EcoBlue wet belt…

This 2017 Ford Transit Custom came in just in time, as the original wet belt was showing significant wear.

One of the biggest issues with the 2.0 EcoBlue engines is incorrect servicing. Using the wrong oil or extending service intervals can dramatically reduce the lifespan of the wet belt, causing it to deteriorate prematurely.

To get this Transit back to full health, we supplied and fitted a genuine Ford wet belt kit, including:

✅ Wet belt and tensioner
✅ Timing cover
✅ Oil sump
✅ 0W-30 engine oil and filter

Regular servicing and using the correct specification oil are essential for these engines. When maintained properly, the wet belt can last much longer than many people expect.

If you own a 2.0 EcoBlue and aren’t sure when the wet belt was last replaced, it’s worth getting it checked before it becomes a much more expensive repair

2016 Volkswagen Golf GTI

This Golf GTI came to us after an unfortunate encounter with a kerb.

The customer was concerned that something wasn’t quite right with the car following the impact, so we carried out a full inspection.

During our checks, we found:

* The driver’s side front lower arm was bent
* The rear driver’s side wheel bearing had collapsed
* And, something we’ve never seen before… the rear anti-roll bar had actually snapped 😅

While the vehicle was on the ramp, we also discovered a severe oil leak from the sump. We recommended replacing it, and the customer was happy to go ahead with the repair.

To get the car back on the road safely and ready for a wheel alignment, we carried out the following work:

✅ New front lower arm
✅ New front ball joint
✅ New rear wheel bearing
✅ Good used rear anti-roll bar
✅ New oil sump
✅ Oil and filter change

The Golf is now back on the road, safe and ready for wheel alignment. 🚗💨

Honda Accord Euro R

This Honda Accord Euro R came to us for some maintenance work after the owner had recently purchased it.

For added peace of mind, the customer requested a cambelt and water pump replacement, which we supplied and fitted.

The braking performance wasn’t up to standard, so we carried out a full inspection and found the front caliper pistons had seized, along with the slider pins.

We rebuilt and refurbished the front calipers, while also refreshing the rear calipers to ensure everything was operating correctly.

The car is now stopping as it should and is ready to be enjoyed with confidence. 👌🔧🚗

This 2018 Volkswagen Golf 1.4 TSI came into us for its scheduled timing belt replacement after reaching the recommended mileage interval.

We supplied and fitted a complete timing belt kit, including:
• Timing belt
• Water pump
• Tensioner
• Idler pulley

During the job, we found the timing was slightly out, confirming that the belt change was due at the right time.

Everything was replaced, reassembled, and checked over, leaving this Golf ready for many more miles of reliable motoring.

Honda Civic EP3

This Honda Civic EP3 came into us for some maintenance ahead of an upcoming trip to Germany, where its owner will be visiting the Nürburgring.

The customer supplied all the parts for the work, including:

* Exedy OEM replacement clutch kit
* C-Hook front brake discs
* PBS front brake pads
* Hardrace front drop links

The clutch had been showing signs of wear for some time, and with such a long journey planned, the owner didn’t want to take any chances.

We fitted all the supplied components, ensuring the car is ready for the miles ahead and prepared for some spirited driving on one of the world’s most famous circuits.

BMW 1 Series in with us for a clutch replacement after the clutch was on its last legs 🔧

After being quoted nearly £2,000 elsewhere just for the clutch replacement, we managed to get everything sorted for much less — including:
• LUK 3-piece clutch kit
• Front & rear brake pads
• Full service kit

We supplied and fitted all parts, and even gave the engine bay a quick clean as it looked like it had been through the desert 🌵🧼

The customer was close to replacing the car as the repair costs elsewhere just didn’t make sense, but now it’s back on the road ready for many more miles 🚗💨

This Honda Civic Type R Turbo came in for replacement ball joints and front lower arms.

The customer supplied all the parts, including:

* VTEC Monkeys polybush front arms
* Hardrace ball joints
* Front drop links

Once the vehicle was up on the ramp and the parts were fitted, we gave it a full once-over. Overall, it was in great condition. The only issues we advised the customer about were:

* A slight oil weep from the turbo oil feed line
* A split front engine mount

Other than that, it’s a clean example.

This Honda Civic Type R came to us for a timing chain replacement, as the customer was unsure whether the chain had ever previously been replaced. With an upcoming mapping session booked in, it was mainly for added peace of mind.

The customer supplied a full genuine timing kit, including a new chain, tensioner, and guides.

During inspection, we also found the tensioner inspection plate was leaking, so this was replaced to prevent any further oil leaks.

Once stripped down, we discovered the previous timing chain had slight stretch, with the engine running a tooth out of time — making the replacement worthwhile and ensuring everything is now correctly timed and ready for mapping.

This Audi S5 came in for some performance upgrades ahead of its upcoming remap 🔧

The customer supplied all the parts, and we installed:
– Decat downpipe
– CTS charge pipe
– Aftermarket intercooler & upgraded charge pipes

With these upgrades in place, the car is now ready for a Stage 2 tune, allowing for improved airflow and maximum performance potential.

It’ll be back with us soon for some maintenance work to make sure everything is running exactly as it should 👌

2007 VW Golf GTI Edition 30

The vehicle arrived with an ABS fault, accompanied by multiple warning lights illuminated on the dashboard.

Initial diagnostics using VCDS revealed that the ABS module was not communicating with the vehicle, indicating a complete failure of the unit.

A replacement ABS pump and module were sourced and installed. Following installation, communication with the module was successfully restored, and it was coded correctly to the vehicle.

During the brake bleeding process, the rear near-side caliper bleed ni**le was found to be seized and unfortunately snapped during removal. A new caliper was supplied and fitted to resolve this issue.

The braking system was then re-bled, restoring full functionality. The ABS system is now operating correctly, and the vehicle has been returned with braking performance as expected
