Another busy day in the workshop! 🔧

This VW Transporter BiTDI came in with a loss of power and several warning lights illuminated. After carrying out a series of diagnostic tests, we identified a failed turbocharger as the cause of the issue.

Replacing the turbo on these models is a major job, but our experienced technicians are already hard at work getting this Transporter back on the road.

We've just received the all-clear on these four fuel injectors for a VW Transporter T6. The vehicle is currently having a replacement engine fitted, but before proceeding, we're carrying out our due diligence to ensure all associated components are thoroughly tested and in good working order.

Another wiring fault diagnosed and traced 🔍

A section of the wiring loom appears to have been trapped during factory assembly and has been causing an intermittent fault for the last 3 years. Despite previous visits elsewhere, the fault had never been successfully identified.

Now the issue has been located, it’s time for a full day’s work rebuilding and repairing the damaged section of loom properly to ensure a reliable long-term repair. ⚡🔧

This VW Transporter T6.1 came in with the SOS warning light illuminated on the dashboard. After carrying out diagnostics with ODIS, we extracted the following fault codes from module 0075. The faults were static.

Following checks for any relevant TPI information, we monitored the MVBs and completed the guided test plan. Diagnosis concluded that the emergency battery (A16) requires replacement. Unfortunately, these batteries are currently on major back order, with no confirmed delivery date at present.

In the meantime, we will attempt to carry out basic settings and a reset of the control unit (J949).

This Volkswagen Transporter T5 is currently in with us for a major service.

During our inspection, we identified that both the near-side (N/S) and off-side (O/S) track rod end ball joint rubbers were heavily deteriorated and likely to fail in the near future. These components are essential for safe steering, so replacement is strongly recommended.

As many owners will know, track rod ends on these vehicles can often seize in place, making removal and replacement more time-consuming—but it’s a job we’re fully equipped to handle.

🔧 VW Transporter T6.1 – Diagnostic & Repair

This Volkswagen Transporter T6.1 came in with the Engine Management Light (EML) illuminated.

After carrying out full diagnostics, we identified fault codes relating to the coolant bypass valve. Accessing and testing this component isn’t straightforward, as it’s located in a particularly tight area — a common challenge on this model.

Following thorough testing, we confirmed the valve was faulty and carried out a full replacement, resolving the issue.
