Congratulations to Evie McWilliams from Markfield for passing the this afternoon @4.26pm , 4 dfs 👏🎉🎉

Delivering a fairly fluid route, especially for the time of day, negotiating the M69 roundabout twice from different directions , a Reverse Bay manoeuvre in a Restaurant car park, an immediate pull up on the left from the test centre on a hill after a minute away on the journey. A test in 34 degree heat, but with the Air Con blasting out on max. With a very red faced exhausted examiner, that I did have quite a bit of empathy delivering tests in the heat today! 🥵
Well done Evie and a good decision to put the extra 6 hours in last week leading up to your test , exploring the villages and countryside surrounding Hinckley, together with a very congested town centre (at times.)

A young man thought he'd have no chance of passing the Theory Test , when speaking to him on his first lesson yesterday.........but,
Louie Wood from Groby smashed it today with a 1st attempt! Well done Louie!

The big day came for Nicole from Loughborough and she achieved an excellent with just 2 dfs 👏👍

Being a young mum of two is not easy, but to balance a job, together with the added pressure of driving lessons can be a huge challenge! Nicole does all of this in her stride and manages to schedule an extra handful more of 2 hour lessons as her approaches.

It paid off today and she got the result she deserved!
Delivering a route following sign posts from the beginning of the test and negotiating the 'one ash' roundabout twice from different directions, together with a
Parallel Park manoeuvre in a busy area. A few challenging situations on route but no problem for Nicole :)

Super proud of you Nicole and will miss the lessons.

Congratulations to Alex Giles from Loughborough for passing the today with just 3 dfs 👏


Alex came to me from having lessons over time with 2 previous instructors. One of which I know and is an excellent instructor, but she just wanted a 'fresh pair of eyes 🫩👀' and some blunt, honest feedback relating to her driving techniques.

I was more than happy to provide this information and tweak her style of driving, as over time with frustration individuals can often get complacent in certain subjects. Missing sign posts, tweaking manoeuvres and a bit more planning and general awareness.

Nerves were also an issue on the test. So some silly conversation in the test centre always goes down well 😂 and she wanted me to sit in the test too, so I was very obliging with this request.

I witnessed a lovely drive at 1.25pm today and unusually, Alex followed Sign Posts for half the test and then SAT NAV for the rest of the test, ending with a Reverse Bay manoeuvre in the Test Centre.

Keep intouch Alex and I'd be happy to have a game of Squash anytime :)👍

💥 1ST TIME PASS 💥 15.06.26

Super proud of James Cookson from Markfield today, passed his with just 2 dfs 👏👍

He literally has only had approx. 10 hours of lessons and although I was not 100% supportive of him taking his test just yet, he's proved me wrong and got an excellent and well deserved !!

Going out every single day with Dad in his own car and going to all locations across Leicester, with all the tricky multi lane roundabouts that I suggested they went to, no rock was unturned!!! James loves driving and I think it has cost Dad an absolute fortune in petrol 😂

The test included a drive out to Syston via SAT NAV and negotiating the busy Syston centre roundabout in the town, together with the Asda/Costco roundabout and a pull up on the right manoeuvre.

You've worked hard James and I wish you well in your career. 👍
