Cyclehoop

Cyclehoop Innovative cycle parking and infrastructure designed by cyclists, for everyone. Which saves Councils time and money while reducing street clutter.

Our iconic and critically acclaimed Bikehangar® takes just one half of a car parking space to create six cycle parking spaces. This innovative, public rental scheme – where Councils own and, we install and manage the units - has transformed London. A city where bike theft is immeasurably prominent, cycle parking that is convenient and protected is possible. To date, we have created 8,694 accessibl

e Bikehangar® cycle parking spaces across London and hold a waitlist of an incredible 35,000 people. Our namesake, the Cyclehoop, converts existing street furniture into cycle parking. Anthony Lau, architect and award winning Design Director, created the Cyclehoop in response to his bicycle being stolen. Its clever design prevents bikes from being lifted over street sign posts. Today over 2,000 Cyclehoops are helping keep bikes secure on streets all over the world.

Yesterday was World Bike Day and next week is Cycling UK's Bike Week - we love June!

Happy World Bike Day!

To celebrate, we want to talk about active travel.

In our 2025 Customer Survey, over 70% of our customers agreed that having a Bikehangar space encouraged them to cycle more. However, after “The weather”, “Traffic and road safety” was the second most common reason for not wanting to cycle. Whilst we can’t do anything about the weather (we’ve tried), it’s clear that safe, secure infrastructure opens the door to active travel

Investing in active travel benefits everyone. Swapping car journeys for cycling reduces Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), particulate matter, and CO2 and creates cleaner air environments. It also contributes to the recommended 150 minutes of physical activity for adults each week, which is hugely important for maintaining health. Studies have also shown environments prioritising pedestrians, cycling and public transport yield an average retail sales boost of 30%. But none of this is possible without the proper infrastructure.

Get in contact to find out how we can help you invest in safe, secure cycling infrastructure.

Did you know that 71% of our customers said that having a Bikehangar space encourages them to cycle more?

Safe, secure cycle parking encouraging more cycling feels like a bit of a no-brainer, but it's good to have the stats to back it up.

We hosted a Sprint Challenge at The Security Event in Birmingham last month with a £50 voucher of their choice given to the quickest man and woman.

Sadly we're not recruiting for the Cyclehoop WorldTour team, we just want to spread the word of secure cycle parking and the positive effects it can have on people, communities, and the world.

Our 2025 customer survey showed that having a space in our Bikehangars encouraged 71% of respondents to cycle more. More people cycling means less traffic on roads, less pollution in the air, and happier lungs all round. It really is as simple as that.

Cyclehoop has been a transport partner to the private and public sector for over a decade, and in that time, we've designed and manufactured a diverse and prominent product portfolio full of best-in-market cycle parking solutions. To find out how we can help you, drop us a DM.
