Emily Kahn believes the best events are built for the people who show up with their whole heart.

That conviction comes from San Diego Comic-Con. Fandoms of every kind fill one space, and the fan art, the cosplay and the joy of connecting over a shared passion are on full display. Three years after her first visit, it still reminds her why she loves live events.

She carried that energy into the Jaguar Type 00 launch events, where a concept car was craned onto a roof and the temperature and lighting had to be exactly right. It’s the project she’s proudest of. Her one wish for the industry would be for more events to reach that scale, so every niche gets an immersive experience of its own.

Emily shares what shaped her in this month’s Experiences That Made Me feature.

What can brands learn from Bass heads?

Electronic Dance Music (EDM) festivals build immersive worlds and design moments that bring strangers together, then step back and let attendees shape what happens next.

Lauren Smith, Strategist, explores what brands can take from the approach of festivals such as Lost Lands, and when they should let go of the script. Give people space and permission to contribute, and their ideas may take the experience somewhere you couldn’t have planned.

We’re delighted to share that Imagination has been highly commended in two categories at this year’s C&IT Awards: UK Agency of the Year and Best New Event for the Inaugural TOURISE Global Summit.

Created with the Saudi Ministry of Tourism and Saudi Tourism Authority, TOURISE launched in Riyadh as a new global platform for the future of tourism. Over three days, it brought together more than 5,000 delegates from over 100 countries across three stages, all designed to turn conversation into action.

Being recognised across both agency and event categories reflects the calibre and consistency of the work happening across the whole team, year-round. A huge thank you to everyone whose craft and dedication made this possible, and to our clients for trusting us to bring their ambitions to life.

Congratulations to all our fellow winners!

What’s the difference between a heritage brand and a brand that’s just old?

This week we were back in the Imagination Labs recording the upcoming episode of our FYI podcast.

This time, we had the pleasure of welcoming Laura Sileo Pavat, Global Brand Homes Director at Pernod Ricard (tuning into the studio directly from Paris), alongside our own Lisa Riordan, Creative Director.

Hosted by Tom Gray, the conversation took a deep dive into how brands can leverage heritage to their advantage and bring their history to life through brand homes and live experiences.

Drawing on real-world examples from across the Pernod Ricard portfolio, through to iconic luxury and fashion houses, the conversation explored practical ways heritage brands can use their archive, stories, and ambassadors to drive emotional and cultural relevance both today and for centuries to come.

Stay tuned for the full conversation coming soon!

What is FYI?

FYI is the podcast series where big ideas meet bold experiences.

Each episode brings together curious minds across the worlds of creativity, business, science, and technology to explore what happens when tech, culture, and human behaviour collide - helping brands challenge assumptions, provoke new thinking, and imagine what comes next.

When confidence is low, why are brands still betting on being in the room?

The latest IPA Bellwether Report shows Q3 2026 marketing budgets up +14.3%, the strongest in more than two years. Within that, events are once again outperforming other channels.

Our Chairman and CEO, Patrick Reid, shared his perspective with Campaign Magazine: “At a time when geopolitical tensions are rising, economic power is shifting, and technology is rewriting the rules, bringing the right people together has never been more important. Organisations are prioritising investments that build long-term reputation, deepen stakeholder and customer engagement, and cultivate genuine brand trust.”

Striking out hunger, one pitch at a time.

To mark World Food Day, we’re reflecting on our recent work with Visa to help fight food insecurity.

As the Official Payment Services Partner of the San Francisco Giants, Visa has teamed up with the Giants and the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank every year since 2011 to deliver ’Strike Out Hunger’, an annual fundraising campaign combining community service with lasting social impact.

When the Giants recently took on the Minnesota Twins, we helped Visa bring this year's campaign to life with a bespoke visual identity, event content, and pop-up experiential elements designed to create a sense of occasion and drive donations from the ballpark to Visa’s Mission Rock HQ.

Before the game, former Giants players and World Series champions Hunter Pence and Sergio Romo visited Visa’s offices for a fireside chat with employees. Meanwhile over at Oracle Park, fans had the opportunity to tap and donate, getting exclusive merch in return.

We’re proud to have played a part in bringing this year’s fundraising campaign to life, using creativity and community as a force to help end food insecurity.

A great tournament leaves more than memories.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 gave Visa and Bank of America the opportunity to create an impact that extends well beyond the final whistle. In partnership with Street Soccer USA, we transformed underused spaces across 13 cities into vibrant community soccer parks, giving young people safe places to play, learn, and connect.

Each new park was celebrated with a launch event that brought together local communities, civic leaders and partners, creating moments of pride while marking the beginning of something built to last.

We’re proud to have helped bring this vision to life and create a legacy that will continue long after the tournament’s end. Thank you to our teams and partners at Visa, Bank of America and Street Soccer USA.
