At 35 years old, this Golf is a real time capsule. The Driver models shared a lot of their DNA with the iconic Golf GTI, with only a handful of differences setting them apart.

This BMW 420i M Sport came in for some rear silencer modifications after the owner fitted an M-style rear diffuser and wanted the exhaust to match with a set of quad round tailpipes. 😎

Sounds straightforward, right? Well… not quite.

On these models, the battery lives in the boot, which unfortunately blocks part of the space needed for the offside tailpipes. That means a standard setup simply won’t fit correctly.

No problem for the fabrication team. πŸ’ͺ

A bit of custom fabrication, some careful planning, and a touch of workshop magic later, we’ve created a quad-exit system that sits perfectly within the diffuser and looks exactly as BMW should have built it from the factory.
