As some of you will know i come from a farming back ground, having spent many hours on a tractor seat and also having a grandad and uncle who have spent life times farming. Here's some pics I took in harvest during lockdown when I couldnt open the shop or landscape...but couldn't sit at home!!.
There is a couple of serious points I want to make with this post...
1)obviously harvest has now begun so please take extra care on our country roads...you never know whats around that bend...could be a tractor pulling out of a field, half in the road. Also take special attention where a tractor might be turning right, the amount of times I was about to turn right into a field to find a car along side me.! Be patient...a few extra minutes behind a tractor is better than been underneath one!
2) farmers will be working extra long hours (16plus hours a day) often on there own in the confines of a tractor cab....if you know someone working long hours check in with them, offer to take them a cold drink or fish and chips for tea!
Lastly we would like to thank all the amazing men and women in agriculture working silly hours to put food and drink on the nations table...you are legends....
