Massive congratulations to Lacey Gibbs passing first time today with only one tiny fault! Some great feedback from the examiner! So proud of all the hard work you've put in the last three months, especially with the change of car! Happy safe driving 🚗🚗

Curious about what happens during a driving test? Here's what to expect on test day.

An eyesight check 👀
You'll read a number plate from 20 metres away or 20.5 metres if it's an old-style plate.

'Show me, tell me' vehicle safety questions 💭
You'll answer 2 questions about vehicle safety. The 'tell me' question comes before you start driving and the 'show me' question while you're on the move.

General driving ability ✅
You'll drive on a variety of roads, but not on motorways, including 20 to 35 minutes of independent driving, following either a sat nav, traffic signs, or both.

Reversing your vehicle 🚗
You'll be asked to do one of the following: parallel park, park in a bay, or pull up on the right and reverse 2 car lengths. Your examiner will let you know which one.

Knowing what's coming can make test day feel a lot less daunting.

Please note that, going forward, any lessons cancelled at short notice must be paid for in accordance with the terms and conditions agreed to when booking lessons.

Where payment is not received as required, the lesson slot will be released with immediate effect and I will be unable to continue holding future bookings.

I appreciate that circumstances can sometimes change unexpectedly, and I will always do my best to be understanding where possible.

However, I am unable to spend time chasing outstanding lesson payments, so I would appreciate everyone ensuring payments are made in line with the agreed terms and conditions.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

So after having the AA come to the house this morning, it looks like the car needs to spend a little time at the garage.
I should have a replacement car within 48hrs ( from Monday)
I will be contacting everyone at some point tomorrow when I know for definite what's going to happen.

Mock tests can be a great way to highlight any areas that need improvement before your upcoming test.
