A thank you message from Jon J Stafford

“Can I just take a few moments to thank my colleagues and all our customers here at Denton Autocare, for all the love and kindness you have given to me on the recent death of my mother.

To our chief boss....
Anthony Fenton I can't thank you enough for all you have shown my family at this time.

To my equal sidekick....
Andy Garside, for standing up in front of so many people and reading my words, in tribute to my dear mum.

Not only a fantastic team to be a part of, but a lovely DAC family too.

To know what it means to even close the shop so that all the lads could attend, I can't tell you enough how greatful that kind act was received by me personally.

Onwards and upwards.. Let's fix your cars!

❤️❤️

Jason Pettit, our super mechanic..
Model man Rob..
Fire Dave..
and our office guru Beth..”

A lady on the Denton Community page asked for recommendations for a reliable and woman friendly garage to take her car to.

We were tagged in this post 7 times! 🙂

We know that walking into a garage can sometimes feel a little intimidating, especially when you’re not sure what’s going on under the bonnet.

As a garage full of ✨girl dads (and girl grandads!)✨, it’s especially important to us that women feel safe, comfortable, respected and, most importantly, heard when they visit us.

Unfortunately, the motor trade has a bit of a reputation for unnecessary upselling, exaggerating problems and taking advantage of customers who might not know much about cars.

We’re here to do things differently!

No scare tactics, no unnecessary work, no confusing jargon.
Just honest advice, clear explanations and a friendly team who genuinely want the best for you and your car.

Whether you know your way around an engine or haven't got a clue what that funny noise is, you'll always be treated with the same honesty, patience and respect.

Because you shouldn't have to know about cars to feel confident you're being looked after! 🫶🏻

We couldn’t believe our eyes on this but unfortunately it’s not uncommon! 🤯

To the left is a heavily rusted shock absorber which reduces vehicle stability, increases braking distances, and causes uneven tyre wear. All potentially very dangerous!

Wear like this comes with age, moisture and road salt. But keeping up with a regular service will catch problems like this sooner than this one!

Just look at that shiny new shock absorber for our customer!

Well deserved 💪🏻💙

❤️💙TONIGHT OUR HEARTS ARE FULL OF PRIDE 💙❤️

Some moments are bigger than words, and tonight is certainly one of them.

Tonight, Andy’s family and the founders of ANDYSMANCLUB receive a Pride of Britain Special Recognition Award and there really couldn’t be a more deserving family.

Whilst the nation sees an incredible charity and the lives it has changed, we see something even more extraordinary.

We see a family who, through unimaginable heartbreak, found the courage and strength to turn their pain into hope for others. A family who made sure Andy’s name would go on to mean something extraordinary.

Born from loss. Built on hope.

A legacy that has become a lifeline for so many. 💙

Ten years on, we’ve reached one million attendances and what started as a small group of men talking has become something none of us could ever have imagined.

And what makes tonight even more special? It’s Monday.

It’s club night. 💙

Whilst Andy’s family are being recognised on a national stage, our incredible team of volunteer facilitators will be swinging open the doors of over 370 ANDYSMANCLUB groups across the country, welcoming men through those doors, some for the very first time, offering friendship, support and a place where nobody has to face their struggles alone.

To Andy’s family and our founders, our incredible staff team, every volunteer, every facilitator and every man who has ever walked through our doors, thank you.

We often describe ANDYSMANCLUB as a ship. Some help steer it, some keep it sailing through the storms, and others have simply needed it to carry them until they find their feet again.

But without you, that ship would never have set sail.

Tonight, every single one of us aboard that ship is bursting with pride for you.

We will strive to remain a square peg in a round hole. Andy will forever be at the heart of everything we do. His name lives on in every group, every conversation and every man who finds the courage to say, “I’m struggling.”

Tonight, the nation recognises what we have known for years. You are truly extraordinary.

From all of us, we couldn’t be prouder.
