Mark Aimson – Final Journey

We have been contacted by Newsome's Funeral Directors regarding the funeral of Mark Aimson, who was tragically involved in a motorcycle accident on the bridge between Mexborough and Denaby.

Many of you will recognise Mark from the TT Racing over the years.

Mark’s family have asked us to share the details of his final journey so that we can get as many motorcycles there as possible to show our support and give Mark the send-off he deserves.

📍 Meeting point:
Queen’s Terrace, Mexborough, S64 9BL

🕙 Time:
10:45am
Thursday 8th October

Queen’s Terrace is a dead-end road, so could all motorcycles please head to the top of Alexandra Road, turn left and turn around, ready for the procession to leave.

Mark will be coming from the right-hand side onto Alexandra Road.

The family have requested that all motorcycles join immediately behind the hearse and limousine for the final journey.

Please share this with anyone who knew Mark and anyone who would like to come along and pay their respects.

Ride together. Remember together. Give Mark the send-off he deserves. 🏍️❤️

🏍️ OUR 2026 SEASON COMES TO AN END 🏍️

First of all, a massive thank you to every single person who has played a part in our first full year of Mexborough Ridesouts. ❤️

From everyone who turned up, brought their bikes, made memories, shared videos and pictures, supported us, and helped make this community what it is — THANK YOU! 🙌

Over the past few weeks, the local authorities have contacted us and brought a few things to our attention that we need to work on from our end to make sure we can continue doing what we love.

Unfortunately, there’s just too much work to get through in such a short space of time for us to put on one final rideout for 2026.

BUT… there is a massive positive to come from this. 👇

The videos and pictures you’ve all been taking, showing just how much you love our rides, our bikes and most importantly our community, have helped us massively in keeping the support of the people who matter.

So this isn’t goodbye…

🔥 2027 — WE’RE BACK! 🔥

BIGGER. BETTER. STRONGER.

We cannot wait to see all you beautiful people again, with your clean, polished bikes ready for that first rideout of 2027. 🏍️💨

And trust us… we’ve got plenty planned:

🏍️ Rideouts
🌙 Bike Nights
🏕️ Camping Trips
🤝 Community Events
🎉 And so much more…

The list goes on!

Thank you for making 2026 one to remember. ❤️

Now get those bikes tucked away, keep them clean, and get ready…

MEXBOROUGH RIDESOUTS — 2027 IS COMING. 🔥🏍️

🚨 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – SUNDAY RIDE CANCELLED 🚨

It is with great regret that we have made the difficult decision to CANCEL this Sunday’s ride out.

This decision has not been made lightly. Our number one priority is YOUR SAFETY. ❤️🏍️

Unfortunately, we have a number of issues affecting our admin team:

🔸 Several admins are currently on holiday
🔸 Some admins have work commitments
🔸 Two of our admins have unfortunately broken down in Austria 🇦🇹
🔸 This leaves us with limited Marshal cover for Sunday

After discussing everything, we simply do not feel we can safely run the ride with the admins we have available.

We know this will be disappointing, and we are truly sorry for any inconvenience caused. However, we would rather make the difficult decision now than put anyone’s safety at risk.

🙏 Your safety will always come before the ride.

🏍️❤️ We hope to see every one of you at our FINAL RIDE OF THE YEAR in September! ❤️🏍️

Thank you all for your understanding, patience and continued support. 🙏

Stay safe, everyone! 🏍️💨

In Memory of Martin Booth (Eddie) Tuesday 1st of September

We have been contacted by Newsome's Funeral Directors with the very sad news that Martin Booth (Eddie) has sadly passed away.

Eddie’s family have asked us to help spread the word and, if possible, get as many motorcycles as we can to give him the send-off he deserves. 🏍️🖤

📍 Meeting point:
55A Milton House, Church Street, Mexborough, S64 0HG

⏰ Meeting time: Tuesday 1st of September 11:30am

The hearse, limousine and close family, accompanied by the bikes, will then travel to Rotherham Crematorium for the service at 12:30pm.

Eddie served in the Military for 25 years and was responsible for teaching military personnel to ride motorcycles. His passion for bikes was a huge part of his life.

Let’s come together as a biking community and show Eddie and his family just how much that passion meant. ❤️🏍️

Please share this and let’s get as many bikes there as possible to give Eddie the send-off he deserves.

❤️🏍️ Remembering Matthew “Matty” Rushton 🏍️❤️

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Matthew Rushton, known to many as Matty.

Matty’s family have asked us to help spread the word about his final journey, and we are honoured to support them during this incredibly difficult time. 🙏

Matty’s funeral will take place on Friday 28th August.

🏍️ The hearse will leave Hall Avenue, Mexborough, S64 0AH at 12:45pm, with bikes following the hearse through to Doncaster.

Matty would have absolutely loved to see as many bikes as possible — road and off-road — joining the journey and following his hearse to Doncaster.

Let’s come together as a biking community and give Matty the send-off he would have wanted and deserved. ❤️🏍️

Please share this post so that everyone who knew Matty has the opportunity to come along, pay their respects and support his family.

Ride with pride for Matty. ❤️🏍️🙏
