*update on Chris*

We’ve had a few enquiries recently, Chris is still not up to full health. He will not be back working until the New Year.
We thoroughly appreciate everyone’s patience during this incredibly stressful time.

We wish you all merry Christmas and happy new year and hope to see you again soon.

Update on Chris..

Chris is recovering well, he is still very weak and tired so unfortunately while he is attempting smaller jobs inside, he is still unable to carry out his normal work. We suspect this will continue for another couple of weeks.
You may see his van on occasion as he gets used to driving again, give him a wave if you do!
He is extremely grateful for everyone’s patience and well wishes, and hopefully will see you all again soon!

Chris was released from hospital last night, and is continuing treatment and recovery at home. He is still very poorly so will not be working next week either. Thank you all for your well wishes and understanding.

Just a quick heads up to anyone booked in this week, unfortunately Chris is currently unwell and will be unable to work this week. He has broken his phone so unable to make any calls or messages right now. Please bear with us while we get him sorted and I will keep you updated as much as I can.

🎄 That’s us wrapped up for Christmas 🎄

This years highlights include;
Being part of the team for Ashley Shelswell at AS Racing winning the modified Fords class A and overall championship 🏆
‘Surviving’ storm Arwen at the RAC rally with Iain Freestone 💪
Building a super screamer for White 🏁
And a personal achievement of being asked to joint the Wheeler Dealer team for some off screen mechanics 🔧

Earlier this week, having built the engine a couple of weeks prior, I had the privilege of taking this customers car to the rolling road dyno at Marlin Motor Engineers for a run in and set up session.
It’s a Holbay 2.0L engine which is a Ford Pinto engine with a 16 valve twin cam head, similar to a Cosworth engine, but made back in the 1970s!
With the engine running up at 8250rpm and making 262bhp it proved itself to be a complete monster and should be a handful to compete in the classic RAC Rally next week with Chris White.
Safe to say we’re Super Cooper proud of this .

Another great weekend supporting and looking after the race car for Ashley Shelswell at AS Racing. With a 1st, 3rd and driver of the day award you can’t really ask for much more than that. Congrats buddy and roll on the next meeting. 🏁

Pop goes the diesel pt.2 😫

Unfortunately it would appear that some of the parts we were supplied for our van weren’t up to the job.
After carrying out what should have been a fairly routine job on the van on Sunday Chris found some worrying evidence in the sump, and on further inspection found that some of the brand new bearings had fallen apart (I mean, haven’t we all this year haha).
Unfortunately this means we are off the road again 😭😭😭
We are deciding what to do, do we chuck in another 2.2 or go for a bit of an upgrade 🤔 so please bear with us.
If you’re booked in with us and affected, we’ll be in contact if we haven’t already.
In the mean time, pray to the engine gods for us will ya!?

Another day, another engine... thankfully not ours this time 😅
