π Calling electric van owners, there's good news for your next MOT.
DVSA have recently updated testing classifications for zero-emission vans between 3.5 and 4.25 tonnes meaning from the 1st June they can now be tested as Class 7 vehicles.
This means many electric van owners no longer need to use an HGV testing station for their MOT. Instead, your vehicle can be tested at approved Class 7 MOT centres like Carcraft Northwich MOT, with the current maximum MOT fee being just Β£58.60.
If you're a tradesperson, courier, delivery driver or business owner running an electric van, this could make your MOT more convenient and more affordable.
Vans that fall into this category will no longer need an MOT until 3 years from the date of its first registration rather than the 1 year under the old HGV classification.
