Serious build this with a forged engine, Garrett G30770 turbo, Full Race HPFP, 2000cc injectors and 40% Ethenol blend at 32psi but dropping at just over 7200 revving out to 8000rpm.

Got to be one of the biggest spec builds in Europe πŸ‘ŒπŸ˜Ž

First the FL5 and now some D15Z6 loving.

Cars got some good bolt on parts including manifolds and running a "Chipped" ECU mapped elsewhere

Map was shockingly lean running AFR of 15s at WOT and Vtec at just over 5000rpm so we knew there was power to be made

Working with Rui using his system he borrowed from the science museum we was able to remap it from scratch picking up good power everywhere and vtec lowered to 3800rpm.

Car went from 131 to 152bhp and a decent jump in torque

385bhp, 550Nm FL5 custom remapped direct to ECU πŸ’ͺ😎πŸ”₯

Car originally made 309bhp/435Nm totally standard then had a PRL intake, Airtec Downpipe and Airtec IC kit fitted before remapping and achieved 75bhp and 115Nm improvement

This car still has standard ender engine pipe and exhaust.

My custom remapping also has a crackle on the over-run like the DE5s have from factory and only in R
Much improved throttle response from 3rd gear and the exhaust flap open all the time in R mode.

Exhaust upgrades are planned and we should see the car improve even more. πŸ‘

Portugal Day 3 ... Part 2!

Late finish but all ready for the morning.

FL5 has its new Downpipe, Airtec intercooler kit and PRL fitted and the ECU is jailbroken and base map installed ready for tomorrow πŸ‘Œ

Had a cry for help from a local garage with a dead 3 Day old M4 after they tried to remap it. πŸ‘€πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Luckily for me.... or rather them I had my Ecutek programming kit with me and the support for the BMW range is pretty comprehensive

I managed to pull the codes off the ECU then over write with the correct binary file effectively unlocking the ECU so it could be flashed with the correct map files

Job done and bedtime now and we are back onto the FL5 and another monster B18C drag car tomorrow πŸ‘πŸ”₯

Portugal day 3.... part 1.

460bhp, 571NM Mugen FK8 mapping! πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘Œ

I had previously remapped this car remotely as pretty much standard with a few breathing mods at about 390bhp

Back now for Rui to install a TTH550 turbo and XD HPFP upgrade with bigger injectors and we are ready to push for more power.

Uprated fuel system means we can rev higher and I've got this running now to 7400rpm.

Its really warm here now at 32'C and 40% humidity and the car is HOT! πŸ”₯

Its being held back as its still running stock boost pipes and a small Injen intercooler but plans to uprated them very soon and we should see it hit about 480 easy enough.

This is all on pump fuel as well.

TTRS Just arrived and going to throw that on the dyno next. πŸ‘πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆπŸ‘›βœ‚οΈπŸ˜†πŸ˜‰

Today is a good day and only half way through.... for Portugal at 5pm. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ₯±πŸ˜†

Portugal Day 2... and it was a long one. πŸ₯±

Started off with base runs done on a new totally standard FL5 ahead of fitting mods and remapping later this week.

Interestingly they read lower in Portugal than we see in the UK at 310bhp which seems to be the norm. Maybe lowered a bit like in the US because of some lower quality fuels available πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Next up a stunning Blue FK8.

Fully loaded with bolt on mods and previously mapped locally in Portugal it made some decent numbers.
Few hours spent on it and we was able to improve further making about 30bhp on the previous map done.

Next was a Red FK8 with standard ECU.
It started off at 330bhp with the mods and we finished off at over 380bhp and by then it was absolutely roasting in the unit and outside probably dropping the power and little at the time.

Finally we moved onto the EP3.
Decent set of mods with an Injen intake, RBC, Buddy club manifold and Spoon exhaust we picked up significantly over what was previously done with the old Hondata on the new Haltech Elite 550 kit we supplied.

Well earned beer then bed.

Tomorrow we move onto some mad boosted B18s before having the big power FK8 and then the FL5 ready for the dyno.

Portugal day 1.

Quick assessment of the dyno facilities and the cars in for the week.... and decided to crack on with the first job which is converting the EP3 over from Hondata to one of our Haltech 550 kits.

We will do a base run tomorrow to see what it makes on the Hondata that was mapped elsewhere then tune it on the Haltech
