Skoda Superb 2022 TDI 200bhp for Stage 1 ECU + TCU

This skoda has the same engine found in the Golf GTD so luckily even though this is a 2022, it is unlocked!

These engines have huge capabilities when it comes to tuning, even just from a stage 1 👌🏻

Stock logs showing 2.1bar, DPF pressures, EGTS, fuel pressure all perfect.

Tuned, these see 2.45bar in the mid range tailed off, huge amounts of boost whilst retaining complete safety for the turbo.

Beautiful power and torque curves making a nice 245.4bhp & 495.7nm.

An absolute sleeper on the road pulling all the way through the rev range accompanied by smoother shifts, quicker shifts, increased clamping pressure to assist the increase of torque.

Such a nice car to drive and now it’s even better 💪🏻

VW Golf MK8 TDI 150bhp for Stage 1 Dyno Tune.

Making good figures standard at 154.6bhp & 356.6nm.

The newer generation of the VAG group boost a lot higher than the previous generations with these requesting 1.85bar from factory!

Once tuned, these see 2.1bar peak tailed off!

Logs pre and post tune perfect showing a very healthy car, making awesome figures of 199.3bhp & 451.1nm

Peak power now earlier with a big torque increase from factory for all the pulling power one of these needs 🤌🏼

Customer will be back in at some point to get the TCU remapped to top the driving experience off 👌🏻

Audi S3 for custom tuning with Powermax Stage 1

We have previously tuned Jo’s S3 to Stage 1+ making very solid figures.

Now for reliability (with his being early gen is38), he decided to strap a Powermax Stage 1 Turbo to it for more power whilst being more reliable than his IS38.

These turbos are good if you’re wanting to not go silly power but also be above the 400bhp mark with ease

R600 Intake
Intercooler
Colder Plugs
Res Delete
2260s/PM1 turbo
Upgraded Clutch

We converted this from Simos12 -> Simos18 ECU to allow for map switching with Simos12 not allowing it and having the software to create map switching.

Now setup with
- 5 Maps (although with this turbo top end boost will always creep to the same pressure, so more low end power is what changes per map)
- No Lift Shift
- Rolling Launch
- Launch Control
- EML activation for knock detection

This setup allowed the boost to be controlled a lot more easily compared to others we have done with 1.7bar tapered down to 1.55bar (usually you’ll see a minimum of around 1.6bar on these turbos up top)

HPFP and LPFP still holding strong with no drops off and remaining stable, 10.5 degrees timing advance top end, no timing withdrawal, EGTS at 803 degrees celsius at redline!!

Absolute spot on logs and for stock cat, you can’t go wrong!

Nice broad torque curve with peak torque at 4400rpm creating a hard strong pull through the rev range.

Absolute animal on the road with amazing turbo flutters these turbos create between shifts and letting off without the need for any extra diverter valve spacers or any of those boost leak loving devices 💪🏻

Be nice to see what times this runs at pod! Now Jo has to dial in the flat foot shifting and launch control, practice makes perfect 👌🏻

Starting very strong making 209.9bhp and 325.6nm, no timing withdrawal so a very good baseline.

Couple revisions and we ended up on an amazing 254.4bhp and 382.8nm (secondary graphs to show consistency with a slight bit of heat soak)

With us seeing more and more of these engines, it’s allowing us to perfect them even more and finding the best tuning methods to safely achieve more power 👌🏻

Absolute animal on the road with jason chuffed to bits with how his tune turned out and how quick it felt for a bigger motor!

Keith is in love with his car even more now and i’m not surprised, an absolute sleeper that a lot of people will be surprised with 🤫

These come from the factory at 150bhp and 240nm, but are very detuned and tuning these really unlocks the power they should have!

coming in strong making 151.5bhp and 241.2nm (customer prefers it in ft lbs as opposed to nm). A good solid baseline at pretty much quoted factory figures!

Once tuned, it opened the whole range up, especially the mid to top of the range where it had a horrible dip has now turned into a smooth delivery of power through till redline!

We quote 190bhp from these so 212.6bhp was not too shabby!

Now fun and smooth to drive with nice turbo flutters when letting off throttle from the induction kit 🤌🏼

Seat Leon Cupra 280

This one was stock besides a ramair intake kit, and a uprated clutch that the customer didn’t know until i initially took it on road test and thought “oh this clutch has some bite”

stock clutches on these are fairly light with a bite that’s forgiving. This one had a bite that was on the harsher side, always a great thing to find out as it saves plenty of pennies when wanting more power on a manual.

108,000 miles and stock software with only 1 programming attempt (manufacturers). very uncommon on this platform!

Another hot day so IATS weren’t the best, anyway.

Solid stock numbers and a nice baseline, no timing pull, fuelling all doing as it should, EGTs nice and happy, nothing untoward!

Couple revisions later, settling at a very good 365bhp and 492nm.
To be honest, i expected to see around the 345-350bhp mark but with a nice amount of timing added, 1.5bar -> 1.6bar, i can’t complain.

Flat torque curve until around 4500rpm then tailing off and power climbing and climbing, I was happy to call it a day with this one.

Good test drive to make sure everything is performing how it should and wow did it go well. As much as I like the DSGs, manuals on this platform sure can be fun and just feel SO raw.

Came back, told Tom to jump in the passenger and i’ll give him a little taster! He was stunned at the difference it had made and how much quicker it was! Got him to have the drive back to the unit, and there was no holding back from him! chuffed to bits he was, and that’s one of the reasons i love to tune 👌🏻

I’m sure he will be back in the future for more power once he gets bored of it 😂

Ford Tourneo Connect 1.6TDCI with a twist 😅

This came in for stage 2 tuning but doesn’t have the 1.6, it has a slightly bigger engine and is a petrol 😂

This has the 2.5 engine in and we have tuned the owners ST225 previously so he knew who to come to straight away with this!

Very fun one to tune, unfortunately the fuel pump was on the weaker side so was slowly dropping off mid to top end so he will be going for a 340LPH pump with them being cheap as chips and always do a good job (alongside the RS turbo he’s planning to strap to it)

This felt so strange to drive and confuses a lot of people when they hear a turbo flutter and see a van.

Absolute beast on the road with plenty of torque to carry it along the road as well as an aggressive powerband, more to come so watch this space 🫡

BMW 520D in for Stage 1 dyno tuning

This came in for tuning to give it some extra poke! even though these are 184bhp and 380nm quoted from factory, they never seem to have any pull in them and feel flat through the mid and top.

Once tuned the whole range transforms, pulling all the way through the rev range.

Nice gains from stock with boost pressure, rail pressure, exhaust gas temps, DPF pressures all nice and healthy 👌🏻
