We’ve had an incredible response to applications for The Dubsta Display, and we’re already significantly oversubscribed.

A reminder of how the process works:

REGISTRATION. SELECTION. DISPLAY.

Every application will be considered on its own merits once entries have closed.

We’re looking for originality, character, exceptional ex*****on and vehicles with stories worth telling. It’s not about who you know, how much you’ve spent or how many shows you’ve attended.

All selections will be made before Monday 9th November.

Applicants will be notified directly of the outcome. There’s no need to chase or follow up on your application — everyone goes through the same selection process.

We’re building a display, not simply filling spaces.

Our own VW Transporter T6.1 Dubsta 006 basking in the sunshine only a week or so ago. Our epic roadtrip from Santander via San Sebastián, Zarautz, Biarritz, Duras, Tours and Baie de Somme was incredible as we chased the last of the seasons sunshine back home.

The retrostripe treatment on the van gives it so much character without being overpowering and we absolutely love it. Styling something to look like it could have been a factory option isn’t the easiest design task but having said that every time I see this one I feel like we nailed it.

The roadtrip was in fact so good that we’ve booked to go again next year. This time we will take a different route back.

Weather reminding us of Essen 2022. One of those road trips where things didn’t quite go to plan…. Nevertheless one of the most impressive car shows I’ve ever attended and 5 countries // 5 Christmas markets over a few days trip made it one to remember.

3 Volkswagen transporters and a VW Crafter, Belgian b**r, closed campsites, puncture, beautiful cities, Netherlands finest, Dams and European touring. Not one I’ll ever forget 😆😆😆

We’re looking for the interesting, the unique, the beautifully executed and the well-travelled.

From air-cooled classics to modern Transporters. Showstoppers, daily drivers, home-built creations and vans with a lifetime of stories.

Built, not bought. But we appreciate both.

It’s not about how much you’ve spent. It’s about originality, character and doing things your own way.

All eras welcome. Every application considered on its own merits.

Spain has been incredible.

Ferry from Portsmouth into Santander. 2 hrs along the coast to Zarautz where we settled in for 7 days. Campsite is in a brilliant location overlooking the beach with walking access via the 439 steps.

Ideal location for exploring San Sebastián and more of the beautiful Basque region. It’s not often we say we don’t want to leave or that we would definitely come back. This is one that changes all that.

Next stop Bordeaux region in France. Who knew that 24 bottles of w**e is the personal limit to bring back home?

The journey continues.

RETROSTRIPE. Back where it began.

One of the very first stripe designs I produced for Dubsta, and one that still looks the part today.

Ash’s T4, wearing a proper old-school colour combination of cream, burnt orange and brown. A design that looks like it could have rolled straight out of a Volkswagen brochure from the late seventies.

This van was also part of a pretty significant moment in Dubsta’s history.

Our first ever Campermart.

We entered four vehicles into the show and had all four accepted. Not a bad start for a brand finding its feet.

Looking back, it’s easy to forget those early milestones as everything moves forward. But this was one of the vehicles, and one of the designs, that helped establish what Dubsta was going to be about.

Good people. Proper builds. Original ideas.

And a healthy obsession with Volkswagens.

Classic stripes. Modern obsession.
