🚗 THINKING ABOUT BOOKING YOUR DRIVING TEST?
Let’s take a moment to check if you’re truly ready not just in skill, but in confidence too. 💭💡
I know how exciting it is to reach this stage but it’s also completely normal to feel unsure about whether now is the right time. That’s where this checklist comes in.
Here are a few gentle questions to ask yourself:
✅ Am I driving mostly on my own now?
You’re making your own decisions without much input. You can handle roundabouts, busy junctions, and different road types calmly and in control — and that’s a great sign.
✅ Am I making fewer mistakes?
It’s okay to make the odd slip we’re all human! But if serious errors are still popping up, a little more time could make a big difference to your safety and confidence.
✅ Have I done at least one mock test at test standard?
Mocks help prepare you for what the test feels like. If you’ve completed one and felt focused (even with a few nerves), that’s brilliant progress.
✅ Do I have ways to manage my nerves?
Feeling nervous is totally natural the key is knowing what helps you stay calm, whether it’s breathing techniques, positive routines, or just experience.
✅ Has my instructor said I’m ready?
This one can feel tricky, but remember: your instructor’s goal is the same as yours to help you feel safe, confident, and set up for success. If they suggest a bit more practice, it’s always with your best interest at heart.
💬 One last gentle reminder:
If any of these feel like a “not quite yet” that’s okay. Every learner moves at their own pace.
Delaying your test isn’t a setback it’s a smart step forward.
When you are ready… you’ll feel it. and I’ll be right there cheering you on. 💪🚘
