Another successful repair completed from our Plymouth Yacht Haven site .
This catamaran sustained significant impact damage, requiring both structural and cosmetic GRP repairs. Our team carried out the necessary structural laminating work before completing a precise colour match, applying new gelcoat, and working through the polishing grades to achieve a flawless finish.

The damaged rubbing band was also reworked, resulting in a seamless repair.

With a tight turnaround required, the team once again delivered on time and on budget—something we pride ourselves on every project.

Deck replacement is well underway on this Dufour Yachts at our Yacht Haven Quay workshop.

Replacing a failed teak deck is a major undertaking that demands a highly specialised skillset to achieve the finish and longevity our clients expect. As the region’s go-to specialists, we’re experienced in every stage of the process.

We’ve now reached a key milestone. Removing the old deck and meticulously preparing the substrate is often the most thankless part of the job, but it’s also one of the most important. Care, patience, and attention to detail at this stage provide the solid foundation for everything that follows.

The templates have now been taken, manufacturing is underway, and the team is preparing for the installation of a brand-new EVO decking system throughout.

Watch this space—this Dufour is about to undergo a complete transformation.

This Arvor fishing boat came into our care for a full topsides treatment. Years of UV exposure had left the red gelcoat faded, cloudy, and lacking its original depth of colour.

Our team put their skills and experience to work, tirelessly restoring her to her former glory with a deep, high-gloss finish. To help preserve the results, we also applied additional UV protection for long-lasting durability.

Another project completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.

Insurance-approved specialists delivering every aspect of marine repair and refit.

These two vessels are currently at our Plymouth Yacht Haven facility undergoing a wide range of repairs, including bespoke joinery, structural and cosmetic GRP repairs, stainless steel fabrication, and engineering works.

Our team of highly skilled, time-served specialists is already well underway, working closely with clients, insurers, and loss handlers to deliver the highest standards of workmanship within agreed timescales.

Our priority is to complete every project safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality—getting these boats back where they belong: on the water.

A major milestone completed! The drop keel was removed and sent to Iron Brothers for repairs, and we’re pleased to report it has now been successfully refitted.

With that behind us, the refit continues with a substantial list of works ahead, including:

* Replacement of skin fittings
* Cork deck refit and repairs throughout
* Rudder removal and servicing
* Full detailing
* Installation of new tanks and pipework
* Plus plenty more as we continue bringing this yacht back to her best.

New V-Berth Hatch Expertly Installed

A new V-berth hatch has been expertly fitted to this stunning Parker Explorer 920 at our Plymouth Yacht Haven site

The upgrade provides increased natural light and improved airflow to the V-berth, making a noticeable difference, especially in the current warm conditions.

All work was completed within the agreed timeframe and exactly to the quoted cost, with no surprises along the way.

This stunning Oyster yacht is now fully completed and safely back on the water, ready for her next adventure.

We recently completed an extensive works package in time for the owner’s birthday celebrations, delivering a comprehensive programme of upgrades, maintenance, and preparation ahead of an upcoming circumnavigation.

The scope of works included:

• Removal and replacement of all ageing skin fittings with high-quality bronze fittings throughout
• Joinery adjustments and refinements as required
• Paintwork repairs and finishing
• Insurance-related repairs
• Topside detailing
• Propspeed application
• Antifoul preparation and application
• Removal and refit of the rudder for a full inspection
• Installation of a Hydrovane self-steering system

The Hydrovane installation presented some unique logistical challenges, but our team rose to the occasion and delivered a successful outcome.

With all works now complete, she is looking fantastic and is being prepared for an exciting circumnavigation. We wish her owner fair winds and following seas on the journey ahead.

Plymouth Boat Fest – What a Fantastic Day!

Plymouth Boat Fest has officially wrapped up, and what an incredible event it was! The sun made a welcome appearance, creating the perfect backdrop for a brilliant day enjoyed by visitors, boat owners, and marine enthusiasts alike.

It was a great opportunity for our team to showcase our skills, craftsmanship, and the quality of our work, while also highlighting the stunning EVO decking installations at our Plymouth Yacht Haven site. The interest, conversations, and positive feedback throughout the day made the event a real success.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, shared experiences, and supported us. Events like these are a fantastic way to connect with the local boating community and demonstrate what we can offer.

We’re grateful to have been part of such a well-attended event and look forward to seeing many of you again soon.

It’s an extremely busy time of year for our industry, and both sites are operating at full capacity with a wide range of projects underway.

While we provide our services to the private sector, we also maintain strong relationships with our trade clients, and the commercial sector remains one of our key specialisms.

Plymcatte is a clear example of this. As always, she required a tight turnaround to return to active duties, and we were able to complete the project ahead of schedule. She has now been safely launched, with all works completed on time, within budget, and to the high standards our clients expect

Dufour 40 safely ashore at our Yacht Haven Quayfacility.

The mast was removed and transported this morning, and she is now in for a major refurbishment programme including:

• Full deck replacement in EVO decking
• New skin fittings and pipework
• Gelcoat repairs
• Machine polishing and finishing
• And much more

As the region’s marine decking specialists, we have been selected to design, manufacture, and install an entirely new decking system, helping return this beautiful yacht to the condition and standard she deserves.

Our Yacht Haven Quay workshop can accommodate vessels up to 45ft in length, allowing us to maintain complete control of the working environment and keep projects progressing efficiently, whatever the weather.

We look forward to sharing the transformation as work progresses.
