We had our 1st Long Man Run for Pre War Motorcycles yesterday. Organised by the Sunbeam MCC. A great turn out with 23 machines lining up to have a crack at the 33.7 mile road run course through the lovely Sussex back roads taking in the famous chalk giant at Wilmington. A finishers medal was awarded to each rider to complete the course courtesy of Filching Manor Motor Museum and Julie Diplock of Elk Proms fame Donated three glass tankards for best Veteran, Vintage, and Post Vintage machines. The oldest taking part was a 1904 Rover Forecar and youngest a 1938 Triumph. All 23 entrants made it back to collect their medals. Just a couple of hiccup with one puncture ( mended on route! ) and one with a fuel blockage also sorted out to make the finish.
Very well done to everyone that took part.
