As part of our 100 Years of Giving initiative, we're proud to announce that our June £1,000 donation has been awarded to Our Melody Needs a Miracle.
This cause was nominated by our colleague, Natalie, and after learning Melody's story, it was one the team felt strongly about supporting.
For the past 11 months, Melody has been courageously battling Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. While treatment options in the UK have sadly been exhausted, a specialist drug available in the United States offers one final hope. The challenge is that the treatment is not funded by the NHS and costs more than £20,000 per month.
We hope this donation helps Melody and her family take one step closer to accessing the treatment she urgently needs.
At Charles Trent, giving back to our local community is an important part of celebrating our 100th year, and we're incredibly grateful to our team for continuing to nominate causes that make a real difference to people's lives.
