💀🎃No bones about it… I stand behind the tyres I sell!🛞
Thought I’d share a little something with you all about why I’ve decided to fit a brand new set of Davanti Terratoura All-Terrain tyres to my own Defender.
I was chatting to someone at the local petrol station recently and the subject of Davanti tyres came up. During the conversation they jokingly said, “I bet you wouldn’t put them on your own car!”
It made me laugh, but it also got me thinking about something I’ve always stood by since running Ramsbottom Tyres.
I’d never recommend or sell my customers something I wouldn’t be happy putting on my own vehicle.
And here we are! 😂
A fresh set of Davanti Terratoura A/T tyres fitted to my own Defender, and personally I think they look absolutely spot on!
Now, I know Davanti might not be the first name that springs to mind when people think of all-terrain tyres, but there’s actually a lot more behind these tyres than you might think.
They’ve been through some pretty extensive testing, including at Millbrook in the UK, IDIADA in Spain and winter testing in Finland. They’ve been put through their paces on everything from tarmac and gravel to mud and sand, testing their handling, braking and off-road capabilities.
They’re also 3PMSF winter rated, meaning they’ve met recognised snow traction testing standards.
And here’s something you might not know…
These tyres have actually been used in competitive 4x4 motorsport! 🏆
Off-road rally champion Edd Cobley has used the Terratoura A/T on his Land Rover Defender in the British Cross-Country Championship, winning his class in 2021.
So there’s certainly a bit more to them than just looking good!
I’ve also had the chance to personally test these tyres myself, which is one of the reasons I’m confident recommending them to customers.
One thing I’ve learnt over the years in the tyre trade is that you can’t always judge a tyre by the name written on the sidewall.
We sell everything from budget tyres right through to the big premium brands, and every customer has different needs and budgets.
