The British Championship for BriSCA F2 Stock Cars is the next race meeting at the United Downs Raceway, St Day. 42 years have passed since the British title was last raced for in Cornwall. There is also action from the 2 Litre National Bangers, the latest westcountry outing for the junior racers in the Ministox and to end the day there is a Caravan Chaos Challenge that promises something very, very different and not to be missed.

Steve Belfield was a regular racer in Metro Bangers, often representing St Day in Team Events. Indeed, here is Steve doing just that at the Mendips Raceway in 2002. Steve's career, which has spanned five decades, will be celebrated at the United Downs Raceway, St Day on Sunday 24 May. Make sure you get a copy of the raceday programme to check out the special feature covering Steve's wonderful time in Bangers.

Soon after Autospeed reopened the United Downs Raceway, St Day in 2001, the infield was significantly remodelled, hence the sparse and barren outlook in this photo, as Steve Belfield features with another stalwart of the circuit, Mike Johns. Steve's career will be celebrated on Sunday 24 May. Make sure you get a copy of the raceday programme to learn what car was Steve's preferred choice for Bangers - there might even be a clue in this picture 😉.

The Saloon Stock Cars only have three race meetings at the United Downs Raceway, St Day this season. The first was at Easter and the second will be on Sunday 24 May. Amongst the entry will be Kieran Bellringer and Bert Farrell, who each enjoyed a fine start to the season, resulting in an upgrading at the start of this month.
