Putting it through its paces this 1929 Bentley 4.5 Litre was converted to 5.3 Litres by VBE. This car is both a beauty and a beast all in one. Representing the best of Great British engineering, and the continued craftmanship of our fantastic team of technicians. We are expanding!!
Vintage and Classic Car Mechanic Wanted
Due to a continued increase of work, we need to expand our team! We are looking for a Mechanic /Engineer to join us on a permanent basis. A highly motivated individual who has a genuine interest in vintage cars.
The role would be extremely varied with very little repetition but would involve; general mechanics, hand fitting, problem solving and fault diagnosis (without the aid of electrical diagnostic equipment).
The ideal candidate would have completed a mechanical or engineering apprenticeship and have at least 10 years experience as a mechanic. They would also have worked on vintage and classic cars, specifically with mechanical brakes and manually-timed engines, and SU carburettors.
It would be advantageous for the candidate to have had exposure / hands on experience with the following
• Engine building
• Gearbox re builds
• Differential re builds
• Machining on lathes and milling machines
• Basic fabrication and TIG welding
• Silver soldering
• Wood working
• Panel making
• Upholstery
Working hours are Monday to Friday 7am - 4pm with a possibility of over time after hours/weekends paid at time and a half (optional)
