Another outstanding performance from Michael Dunlop - here's the race report directly from Burrows Engineering / RK Racing:
Once again, we linked up with now 36-time TT winner Michael Dunlop to campaign our Honda Moto3 machine at the Tandragee 100.
After how much we all enjoyed the Cookstown 100, it was great to get back together with Michael. It’s our way of keeping our hand in Irish road racing while continuing to support the sport we all enjoy.
Friday’s schedule was heavily disrupted by multiple delays and red flags, with qualifying eventually cancelled, meaning we missed out on the blistering sunshine. Qualifying was rescheduled and took place in wet conditions around the challenging 5.3-mile Tandragee circuit. Despite it being Michael’s first time riding the Moto3 bike in the wet, he quickly adapted and, after five laps of qualifying, secured pole position for the race.
Following another long day of delays and red flags on Sunday, the Moto3 race finally got underway late in the evening. Michael got the hammer down from the start and produced another faultless ride, completing the four-lap race to take victory for Burrows Engineering / RK Racing.
The win marked Michael’s fourth victory of the day and his 17th Tandragee 100 win, adding yet another milestone to an incredible career.
It was fantastic to have Michael back onboard once again, and we thoroughly enjoyed another successful weekend together.
A big thank you to the Tandragee 100 Club for once again putting on the event. We send our very best wishes to the rider injured on Saturday.
