Due to our ever-growing workload, we are looking to hire another experienced Vehicle Technician to join our busy team.

We are getting busier and busier, so we need someone reliable, hardworking and confident in carrying out a wide range of vehicle repairs, servicing and diagnostics.

Experience is essential, and MOT tester status would be an advantage but not required.

Volkswagen Transporter in the workshop for an air con issue ❄️

Something a little different from the usual condenser leak on this one.

The air con system itself was working as it should, but the heater control box wasn’t changing the temperature from hot to cold inside the cab.

After further investigation, we found the guide on the adaption motor had snapped, causing it to stay stuck on hot.

The motor was removed, the repair piece was replaced, then everything was refitted and built back up.

Now the cabin is ice cold again ❄️

Busy day in the workshop today with some proper jobs in 🔧🔥

🚗 Jaguar XE 2.0 Ingenium — timing chain replacement
🚐 Ford Transit Custom 2.0 EcoBlue — wetbelt replacement & MOT
🚙 Land Rover Discovery 2.0 Ingenium petrol — engine replacement

Vauxhall Adam in the workshop with an air con issue ❄️🔧

After carrying out our checks, we found the fault was with the air conditioning compressor not working as it should. The compressor was replaced, and the air con system was re-gassed.

Now it’s blowing cold again and ready for the road! ✅

Another clutch replacement in the workshop today! 🔧

This Hyundai came in with a customer complaint of the clutch slipping and struggling to engage gears. After inspection, the fault was confirmed, and a new clutch is being fitted to get it back on the road driving smoothly again.

Jaguar XE 2.0 Ingenium in the workshop for a timing chain replacement.

This vehicle came in requiring a full timing chain replacement due to noise from the timing system.

A complete timing chain kit was fitted, along with a fresh oil and filter service. During strip-down, we found a common issue we have seen several times on these engines – the bolts on the VVT sprocket had worked themselves loose, which can lead to serious engine damage if left unchecked.

The engine block and timing area were thoroughly cleaned before fitting the new components. Once reassembled, the vehicle was run up to operating temperature and carefully checked for any leaks.

Following a road test and final inspection, the Jaguar is now running perfectly and is ready to be collected by its owner. 👌🚗🔧
