🌟👋 WELCOME TO SUNNYSIDE CARAVAN PARK & FISHERY 👋🌟

We’ve had lots of lovely new followers over the past few weeks, so we thought it was time to say a big HELLO and tell you a little bit about us! 😊

Welcome to Sunnyside Caravan Park & Fishery – the place where you arrive as a guest… and somehow end up staying for a brew, a chat… and half your day gone 😆☕

You’ll also spot Ruby 🐶 – Karl’s “guard dog”… we say guard dog, but she’s actually just here for fuss and attention and will happily welcome you in before Karl does 😂

We’re a family-run, adults-only park, which sounds peaceful… but don’t be fooled 🤫

👨‍🔧 Karl (the boss) – if something needs doing, he’s already done it… twice. Usually found mid-job or mid-natter (or both at the same time).
👬 Harry & Zac – if you pop by for “5 minutes”… expect at least 2 cups of tea 😂
🎣 Zac also owns the lake (well… in his head anyway 🤣) – it’s his pride and joy, so if you catch more than him… maybe don’t mention it 😉

☕ Our official, very serious motto:
👉 “NO TEA BAGS = NO ENTRY” (we’re joking… kind of 😜)

📋 Debbie keeps the office running (and probably the rest of us in line too!)
💁‍♀️ Melissa joins full time in August – send snacks, she’ll need them 😂
👶 Shannon – 7 months old and already the most popular member of the team… sorry Karl 😆

❄️ Winter seasonals (2nd Nov – 2nd April) – for the hardy ones who think fishing in the cold is “character building” 🥶🎣

☀️ FISHING IN THE HEAT – PLEASE READ ☀️
With temperatures rising, it’s really important we all take extra care when handling fish 💙

🎣 A few key reminders while fishing at Sunnyside:

• Always keep your landing nets and unhooking mats wet – in hot weather they dry out quickly and can become very warm, which can harm the fish
• Avoid placing fish on dry or hot surfaces at all times
• Please do not keep fish out of the water for too long – unhook, handle carefully, and return them as quickly as possible

These small steps make a big difference in protecting the health and safety of our fish, especially during warmer conditions 🌿
