Last week, we were pleased to support the - National Trailer and Towing Association (NTTA) and Police Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency at a roadside towing safety and education event.

Throughout the day, we spoke with drivers about some of the most common towing issues, including:

✔ Correct use of breakaway cables
✔ Safe loading and load security
✔ Trailer and towing weight limits
✔ Understanding what your car or pickup can legally tow

It was great to see so many drivers taking the opportunity to ask questions and make sure they were towing safely and legally.

A big thank you to the NTTA and Nottinghamshire Police for organising such a worthwhile event. We're always happy to support initiatives that promote safer towing for everyone on the road.

This Bateson PT56 has arrived for a major service. It's been a while since we saw it last, but the brakes are still good, as are the lights and tyres. We will fit a new wheel to the jockey wheel and then adjust the brakes, check the tyre pressures, and it will be ready for the road.

This trailer can accommodate full 8′ x 4′ sheets. **Only six months old... and already due its first service.**

This car transporter has covered plenty of miles, proving that servicing should be based on **use**, not just age.

The good news? The braking system was in excellent condition.

We also:
✔ Replaced two tyres
✔ Traced and repaired a wiring fault that had stopped all the side marker lights from working

The result is a trailer that's back on the road and ready for many more miles.

Some trailers only need a little attention... and that's exactly how we like it.

This eye-catching catering trailer came in for its first service, and we're pleased to report it was in great condition.

✔ Brakes checked
✔ Brake cables inspected
✔ Damaged jockey wheel replaced
✔ Wiring repair carried out to the main cable

🚨 Important Safety Reminder! This is NOT where the end of the breakaway cable should be fitted. It needs to be attached to the bottom of the handbrake lever to ensure the brakes are applied if the trailer separates from the tow vehicle.

🔧 Incorrectly fitted safety equipment can lead to serious accidents. Always ensure your trailer’s breakaway cable is correctly positioned for your safety and that of others on the road.
