Range Rover Sport Autobiography

Returning customer for some maintenance due to brake pad wear warning message coming on in the cluster.

Customer opted to have new front brake pads, new rear brake pads and both new pad wear sensors to ensure all were ok. Could clearly see the inner pad on the front was the cause for the warning message. Rears were around 50% worn but it’s sometimes preventative maintenance that matters. With the brake discs having plenty of life left, no scoring, lipped edge or uneven braking surface, these were ok to leave on.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Returning customer for some work due to an MOT fail on a broken coil spring. Replacing both is always advised due to the imbalance created from one side being broken, how long this has been we don’t know but if just replacing one, you will notice a difference in ride height, reduced handling with the imbalance and can put extra stress on the new spring if the other is still old which can also reduce the lifespan of both spring and damper.

Nice easy fix to get this re-tested and passed ready to be be safe for the road.

Audi A5

Returning customer to have some repairs from its recent MOT failure for brakes all round due to the corrosion and material falling off from the friction surface.

• Front brake discs, pads and wear sensor replaced ☑️
• Rear brake discs & pads replaced ☑️
• All fixings torqued to manufacture spec ☑️
• Brakes all bedded in ready for customer to use ☑️

BMW M2 Competition

Great to be trusted with this track day machine. Out with this BMW down at to give it a full health check and build up a full list of what’s required prior to its next track session.

With a few issues, maintenance and couple areas to just tidy up, can soon get this BMW ready to get pushed to its limits again.

VW Golf

New customer booked in for a simple repair due to a whirring noise when around 60-70mph. Supplying their own part and saying it’s the front made my job much easier.

Diagnosed which side, stripped down, prepped surfaces, installed new, then lastly all fixings torqued to spec and paint marked 👌🏼

BMW M135i

Back with me for some further upgrades and changes to geo to improve handling.

Replacing the old worn out rubber bushes on the rear toe arms with the new Hardrace adjustable toe arms which allows us to get further adjustment when setting the toe alignment but also replaces the worn out bushes with new hardened rubber variant to reduce movement in the bush under load.

Once both were replaced, it was off to down so we could carry out a full wheel alignment altering camber & toe all round.

Customer was super happy with the changes in geo and how the car now handles both in corners and putting the power down for his roll races. 🤝

Range Rover Vogue SDV8

New customer booked in for an initial investigation for an engine warning light and loss of power.

Carried out diagnostics scan on the engine control module and found passenger bank, sensor 1 exhaust gas temperature sensor reading sporadic. Carried out live data and could see readings all over the place at idle and under low rpm input, reading around 400 degrees celsius at idle from a cold start and comparing to driver’s side bank being much lower shows the sensor was faulty and new was required.

Of course being put in the tightest place possible in this V8 so a lot had to be removed just to gain the smallest amount of access but that’s all that was needed. Old shearing off upon removal just shows how brittle these can go from the various heat cycles.

• Replaced exhaust gas temperature sensor ☑️
• Cleared stored fault codes, carried out road test. Test all ok ☑️
