The sun has well and truely arrived 🥵

Hole moley it was hot today, since it’s going to continue being hot this week I apologise for anyone’s car we work on, no it’s not leaking coolant, it us! 😥

But the heat isn’t stopping us and we have been out today and will be out the rest of the week too. We have had alot of services in lately which is lovely to see. Keeping up with vehicle maintenance as well as keeping an eye on other parts that can become an issue 🚗

Somethings alittle bit sooty 💨

We were out to this insignia today in Billingham doing multiple things including glow plugs, lambda sensor and brakes all round. 1 of the glow plugs wasn’t working and the lambda sensor had certainly seen better days with a lot of soot build up! All changed and hopefully it behaves better now. 🚗

If your vehicle is giving you signs that something may be amiss, or you know something’s due, don’t wait until it’s really bad before booking in. Diary is insanely busy until the 10th July with bookings almost daily in July already 📔

Today the tools can stay in the van a little longer. 🔧

Running a family business often means early starts, late finishes, missed meals, answering messages at all hours, and squeezing family time around customers repairs.

So today we’re taking a moment to appreciate all the dads who work hard for their families, whether that’s turning spanners, driving vans, working shifts, or simply being there when they’re needed most.

Dash cameras and reverse cameras are becoming popular 🎥

We have had an increase in requests for dash camera installs which is great to see. We can install cameras you already have or supply them, front only or both front and rear installs and fully wired in. No wires hanging down looking untidy, getting in the way and down into the lighter plugs. Especially with the busier roads about to hit with summer holidays, having a dash camera can be the difference between at fault and not if the worst was to happen ❌

Reverse cameras have also been popular especially in vans and campervans. Whether it’s working on your radio unit, a stand alone unit or as a reverse mirror, there’s an option for everything. No more accidental bumps because of misjudging or not seeing something 👁️

Returning Customer Back on the Road! 🔧

We were back in billingham this week with an Alfa Romeo MiTo after it suffering from a leak and we able to diagnose the cause as the radiator💧

We supplied and fitted a brand new radiator and were asked if we could also fit a new intercooler while we were there which we were happy to do. Got everything reassembled, tested and back to working as it should.

✅ New radiator fitted
✅ New intercooler fitted
✅ Cooling system checked and bled
✅ Vehicle tested and ready to go

Sometimes the Fix is Simpler Than You Think! 🚗

This vehicle came to us with completely inoperative windscreen washers. 💦

We booked it in for a diagnostic and found the culprit hiding inside the washer bottle – the pump pickup filter was completely blocked with sludge and contamination, preventing washer fluid from reaching the screen. As we say, if it’s a simple fix that requires no parts and not much time, we will get it sorted within the diagnostic time and price. So we

- Removed and cleaned the filter
- Flushed the contamination away
- Reassembled and tested
- Washers now working perfectly again
- only charged the diagnostic/call out fee

It’s a good reminder that not every fault requires expensive parts. A proper diagnosis can often save unnecessary repairs and get you back on the road quickly. 🛣️

We hope everyone is enjoying a well-earned day of rest, whether you’re spending it with family, out enjoying the sunshine, or getting ready for the week ahead like we are. There’s never a day off when you run a business 😂.

Hopefully the weather is going to show abit of summer nicety and bring back the sun rather than all this rain as we start another busy week! 🤞

A quick reminder that our diary is filling up fast, with only a hand full of remaining afternoon slot for June. If your vehicle is due a service, has a warning light on, or you want it checked over before a trip away, it’s always best to book in advance when possible 📔

Some nice new upper arms for this Honda accord. Suspension components are often overlooked until they start knocking or cause an MOT failure, but catching them early can save money and prevent further wear to other parts 🔧

If you’ve noticed:
- Knocking over bumps
- Uneven tyre wear
- Steering that feels vague or wanders
- An MOT advisory for suspension wear

Well, thank the lord for double gazebos! ☔️

It’s been a wet one today and of course it’s the day we are on a big job. Thankfully the customer didn’t mind us taking over their drive with our gazebo. We may still be dirty but atleast we aren’t soggy! 😂

Had a gearbox change today after this one began to sing away and leak and they were struggling to get anyone to even look at it. We went out to confirm there wasn’t an exterior source to the noise and leak and that the only option was the gearbox swap they were requesting. Gearbox ordered and installed, no more singing unless it’s coming from the speakers or driver 🎵

🌞 Upcoming Holiday Closures – Please Book Early! 🌞

As a family-run business, we work hard all year round and have a few planned breaks coming up to spend some much-needed time with our family.

📅 Our upcoming closures are:
🏖️ 1st – 5th July
🏖️ 1st – 16th August
🏖️ 17th – 20th September

We are already booking well into July and August, so if your vehicle is due a service, has an MOT approaching you need last years advisories sorting before, or you’d like a health check before your summer holiday, please get booked in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
