Well what else were we going to do on NYE 🤦‍♂️😂. One more very nicely built Mk1 rally car in for diagnostics/rolling road tuning with a not so nicely sounding Dave Brooks 2.0 pinto. It didn’t take long to get to the source of the problem and we soon has the pinto singing again, all the way to 8000 rpm… 215 bhp and 158 ft lbs 😮👌💪🏻🏁. Check out the comments for a clue as to the issue ⬇️. The car with Graham Thatcher at the helm should be skidding around the Builth Wells show ground stages in Jan.

As 2025 draws to a close, we just wanted to take a moment to say thank you and present a snapshot of what’s been through our shop.

Running a small father and son classic car garage isn’t just our business, it’s our passion, our craft, and our pride. Every car that rolls through the door has a story, and we’re grateful to play a part in keeping those stories alive.

To all our customers whether you trusted us with a full restoration, an MOT, engine tune, or just stopped by for a chat about carbs and camshafts, thank you for choosing us. Your support means everything, especially to a small family workshop like ours.

We’ve loved the variety of cars, the engine-start victories, and even the head-scratching moments that classic motoring always delivers. Most of all, we’ve loved being part of such a brilliant community of enthusiasts who get it.

Here’s to the cars, the memories, the friendships built in the garage, and to 2026 bringing more classics back to life 🚗💨

Finally back to some normally this week and ploughing our way through the backlog with our new Maha dynamometer 💪🏻🏁🏁🏁.

Huge thanks to Maha for their continued support and patience (due to a full diary we had to delay the installation). Few finishing touches left to sort out but very impressed with the quality and functionality of the New dyno.

Look out for This beauty out and about on the summer show scene. The owner Zack has been recommissioning the car over several years and when it came to the tune up he of course wanted some added Nutts power!! 💪🏻🏁🏁🏁.

Lots going on with this one including a new distributor and good going over of the carb including needle profiling, spring and damper rate modified but the final result was great and it now pulls like a train and will have great fuel economy.

When you get a Nutts tune it’s not all about top end power, we tune right through the rev range including acceleration and cruise throttle fuelling to maximise both performance and economy 👌.

We’ve done it again!! 🥳, another Nutts A series record, didn’t think I would be posting this so soon after the last one but here it is.. 158 bhp and 130 lb ft 💪🏻🏁🏁🏁.

Not the prettiest build but looks can be deceiving, car would barely run when I came in. Lucky for the customer we have had our hands on plenty of these. This one included a full recalibration of the carb and a mappable csi distributor.
