A 45m yacht built around one idea: remove everything that gets in the way of the sea.

GENIE BLU, launched by Alia Yachts, is all about openness — floor-to-ceiling glass, clean architectural lines, and decks that flow naturally down to the water. Even the design philosophy is minimalist: subtract rather than add.

It’s a striking example of how modern superyachts are evolving — less clutter, more connection, more ocean.

Would you choose simplicity over scale?

D-Marin Makes Strategic Move in One of the Mediterranean’s Key Yachting Hubs

D-Marin has acquired Olbia Marina in Sardinia, adding 270 berths and facilities capable of handling yachts up to 150 metres.

What makes this acquisition particularly interesting is its location. Olbia sits at the gateway to some of the Mediterranean’s most desirable cruising grounds, including the Costa Smeralda, La Maddalena Archipelago and Corsica.

The deal also creates a strategic connection between Sardinia, mainland Italy and the French Riviera, strengthening D-Marin’s growing marina network. 🌊

With demand for premium berths continuing to rise, acquisitions like this are becoming increasingly important across the global marina sector.

VMG begins build of radical new 53ft trimaran

VMG has started construction of its first VMG 53 trimaran - a 16-metre luxury performance yacht designed to blend offshore racing heritage with real cruising comfort.

Built in Cape Town by Evolution Marine Manufacturing and designed by the legendary team at VPLP Design, this isn’t just another yacht project - it’s a move into serial-production high-performance multihulls.

With interiors by Christophe Chedal Anglay and engineering by Thorne Yacht Design, the VMG 53 is aiming to redefine what a cruising trimaran can be.

Delivery is set for January 2027… and this is only the beginning

Swan 80 Brings Maxi Yacht Performance Below 24 Metres ⛵

The all-new Swan 80 has been launched in Finland, bringing maxi yacht capability into a more accessible under-24-metre format.

Designed by Germán Frers, with styling by Lucio Micheletti and interiors by Misa Poggi, the yacht combines sleek lines, twin rudders, flexible accommodation and serious offshore credentials.

One of the most striking features? A near-flush deck that flows seamlessly into a transformable cockpit and beach club platform, creating a yacht equally suited to ocean passages, regattas and life at anchor.

With its world premiere set for Cannes and sailing debut planned for the Rolex Swan Cup, the Swan 80 is likely to be one of the most talked-about sailing yacht launches of the year.

Sound meets design at sea 🎧🌊

Videoworks has delivered fully integrated Bang & Olufsen audio systems aboard Custom Line 50 and Custom Line Navetta 38 for Ferretti Group.

From sculptural speakers to cinema-grade onboard screens, every system is seamlessly embedded into the yacht’s interior architecture — delivering immersive sound without visual compromise.

It’s a reminder that in modern superyachts, technology is no longer added on… it’s built in from the start.

👏 Viking Norsafe Marathon S-900

09/06/2026

🤩 On my way to Seawork 2026, and this year’s line-up feels particularly strong across hybrid propulsion, autonomy and high-performance commercial craft.

Volvo Penta is leading the charge with its IPS Hybrid system, bringing electric capability into an established commercial propulsion platform used across ferries, offshore support vessels and workboats. It’s a clear step towards scalable hybridisation in real operational environments, not just pilot projects.

RAD Propulsion is another key one. Their Autonomy Core system is moving the conversation beyond propulsion into remote vessel operations - integrating control, propulsion and communications into a single platform designed for both new builds and retrofit applications.

I will be getting out on the water with Viking with its Marathon RHIB range, including the S-900 capable of over 80 knots! These are serious operational craft for defence, offshore wind and security roles. 🚤

Should be an awesome few days! 🙌

61m Tankoa Superyacht Reaches Major Build Milestone

The full-custom superyacht is designed around lifestyle-led living, featuring multiple pools, a large beach club opening on three sides, and a wellness area complete with gym, sauna and treatment rooms. One of the standout features is a sun deck designed as the primary social hub onboard.

With delivery set for 2029, the project reflects where the 60–70m superyacht sector is heading: more volume, more outdoor space, and increasingly complex onboard environments.

A glimpse into the next generation of custom yachtbuilding.
