Krishna Wisdom

Krishna Wisdom Change begins within. Through the Hare Krishna tradition, we connect mind, body & soul with mantra meditation, yoga & philosophy - transforming lives!

Krishna Wisdom is based at ISKCON Bhaktivedanta Manor, Watford and is the headquarters of the Hare Krishna movement in the UK. It provides opportunities for people to begin spiritual practices and support for those on the path. The philosophy and practice is based on the Bhagavad Gita As It Is, one of the oldest books in existence, which explains how we are all spiritual beings in a material body

which is a vehicle to be used for spiritual upliftment and ultimately developing higher consciousness, or Krishna Consciousness. The process is 'Simple living, high thinking' and promotes vegetarianism, meditation, elevation of consciousness through practice of chanting mantras and developing a deeper relationship with God, Krishna - the all attractive.

Life has a way of pulling us in a hundred different directions. Between work, endless to-do lists, and the constant demands of everyday life, it’s easy to forget to pause and notice what’s already around us…

Sometimes the best reset isn’t something you have to buy or achieve, it’s simply stepping outside. 🌱 Even just 20 minutes in nature can help calm your mind, especially if you’ve spent the day behind a desk or staring at a screen. 🥰

Consider this your little reminder to get some fresh air, feel the sun or the breeze on your skin, and reconnect with yourself. Nature has a quiet way of bringing us back to what really matters! 🌞

Wisdom in the Mystic India Tent ✨🏔️

As the rain fell over the majestic Himalayas, the Mystic India Tent became the perfect place to gather, slow down, and dive into meaningful conversation.

Radha Govinda inspired us with four timeless questions from the Vedas, simple to ask, yet powerful to reflect upon:

- What is my purpose?
- How may I be of service?
- What is the lesson?
- Where am I investing my attention right now?

Sometimes, all it takes is a moment of stillness and the right questions to shift your perspective.

Why not set aside a little time this weekend to reflect on these for yourself? You might be surprised by the answers that arise. 💛

In life, we move through many different chapters, and during periods of transition, things can often feel heavy, uncertain, and never-ending. In those darker, more challenging moments, It’s good to remind ourselves that we are simply in a cocoon phase, a period of transformation. Soon enough, things will feel brighter again. After all, some of our greatest growth and expansion happens during the times that feel the most difficult. Keep going, you are doing amazingly! 🙌💖

The magic of the Bhagavad Gita! ✨

Happy Solstice, everyone! ✨ Summer is finally here, yaaay! The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and people are smiling... apart from those who are finding it a little too hot! 😅

This year’s Solstice was such a beautiful experience. We left the Manor at midnight and arrived at Stonehenge around 2am, where we joined a communal kirtan near the stones and the Ratha-yatra cart, singing together until sunrise.

The atmosphere was incredible. People were dancing, singing their hearts out, and sharing in something truly special. It felt magical to celebrate this moment with so many wonderful friends, as well as complete strangers who still felt like brothers and sisters. 💖

Moments like these always remind me of the mystical power of the Maha Mantra. When you see someone hear or sing it for the first time, it’s as if it reaches straight into their heart and soul, awakening something deep within them.

To enter this new season of life in such a spiritually charged place, chanting the holy names of the Lord as the sun rose over the horizon, was a profound and unforgettable experience.

Stonehenge draws people from every walk of life, every spiritual path, and every tradition during the Solstice. Yet despite our differences, there was something deeply unifying about gathering together to witness the rising sun, which we understand to be a manifestation of Krishna’s divine energy. 🌞

When we centre our lives around a shared spiritual purpose, we discover that unity is not only possible, but natural. We come together as one family, connected beyond our backgrounds, beliefs, and circumstances.

Wishing everyone a joyful, bright, and spiritually uplifting summer. 🙌❤️

Wisdom on the Mystic India Bus 🚌 ✨

As we travel through the beauty and spiritual depth of India, one thing becomes very clear, this land is rich with devotion, worship, and countless traditions! Seeing so many different paths can naturally lead to the question, Which one is the right one?

In the Vedic tradition, there are many ways to approach and worship God. Rather than there being one “right” or “wrong” way, the emphasis is on developing a genuine and personal connection with the Divine in a way that resonates with your heart. 💖

In our tradition, we choose to worship Krishna because we are especially drawn to this personal and joyful form of God. The more time you spend learning about Krishna and His extraordinary qualities, the more you begin to understand why He has inspired the devotion of so many people for thousands of years. 🥹

When we take the time to pause and reflect on our experiences, we often begin to see the profound lessons woven through every chapter of life. One quote I heard on this trip from someone was, “Life is either entertainment or education.” That perspective really resonated with me. 🤓

We are incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to learn and grow through all that life brings. God, in His kindness, orchestrates circumstances in ways that shape us, strengthen us, and help us evolve. Even when situations don’t appear favourable in the moment, they often serve a greater purpose and ultimately work for our highest good. The challenge is not always understanding the lesson right away, but trusting the process and having faith that every experience is contributing to our growth. 🙌✨
