One of today's jobs was at Portesham Dairy Farm Campsite
This is the first in our series where we shine a spot light on some of the fantastic local camp sites on our patch
(In no particular order other than when we visited them)
Portesham Dairy Farm Camp Site is in peaceful Dorset countryside on the Jurassic Coast and easily accessible to Weymouth, Dorchester and the Dorset beaches
Food and drinks are not too far from here also, as a farm shop with café is a minute's walk from the site, and the owners' local, the King's Arms, is within a couple of minutes' stroll
Portisham Dairy Farm is on the edge of the village of Portesham, in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and 15 minutes' drive from Weymouth. It's family run with a dedicated team that takes pride in its modern clean amenities
The purpose-built facilities block comes with toilets, showers, basins, hairdryers and hand dryers, baby changing area and an enclosed washing-up space with hot and cold water
There's also a laundry room (with drinks machine and tourist info), as well as three chemical disposal points across the site.
A small play area is to hand for kids. The site welcomes quiet and friendly dogs; a footpath leads from the farm across fields and countryside
