Build 070 this week - Cooling system vents are being cut, rudder housing and propeller shaft work continues, and the crane base has been primed. Cable trays and the first control equipment are being installed in the engine room. Fittings for the steering room have been constructed, ready for installation, and a ladder has been fitted on deck.

The Fair Isle Ferry and Infrastructure Replacement Project is funded by UK Government, Levelling Up Fund, with a grant of £26.8M and Shetland Islands Council providing £18.6M.

Build 067 this week - Construction and fitting of cabin furniture is well underway and work continues in the oilskin changing room, workshop, fish room, working deck and engine room. Further scaffolding and platforms are now in the wheelhouse to enable the next phase of its development. A range of welding, painting electrical, plumbing, mechanical and woodwork jobs continue throughout the boat.
