This bike has been maintained to a high standard by its previous owner, a mechanical specialist "Zed Shed" Based in Ashford, and features the essential "Stage 1" upgrades that make these bikes truly perform.
The Airbox & Performance Setup:
The standout feature of this TDM is the Airbox Bypass Modification.
The Problem: From the factory, early TDM900s were fitted with an intake flapper valve designed to meet strict noise and emissions tests. This valve often causes a frustrating "stutter" or "on-off" jerkiness at low speeds and around 3,000 RPM.
The Solution: This bike has had the bypass mod professionally completed. By removing this restriction, the engine breathes naturally at all times. The result is a significantly smoother throttle response, better low-end pull, and the elimination of the common "flat spot" found on stock models.
Operational Note: As part of this performance-oriented setup, the automatic wax-stat fast-idle is inactive. This means the bike requires a moment of manual throttle during cold starts to warm up. Once at temperature, it idles perfectly and offers a much more refined riding experience than a standard machine.
