A complete washout Friday gave me some valuable experience in the wet.

But no dry testing put me at a disadvantage going straight into the Heat race.
Making up some places and starting to find the pace, coming into turn 1 the bike jumped into a false neutral. I struggled to get it stopped and ultimately tucked it trying to not hit the barrier. Unfortunately crash but, managed to get it all back together to be put in the LCQ.

A slight mishap with the timings meant I started the LCQ from Pitlane. With the Unknown of if the bike was 100% and the huge gap that i had to close to the back of the group I was happy to make up a couple of positions and make it into the main race.

Starting 35 out of 36 my worst starting spot yet, I knew I had to get an awesome start and an aggressive first lap on a track hard to overtake on. I got my best launch yet making two rows of the jump and making a couple more hard moves on the first lap I managed to claw back 9 positions straight away. Bridging the gap to the group in front was hoping to get into the top 20 and be happy with the race but complete brake fade back to the bar brought an early end to what was one of my most fun races on the F900R.

I can’t wait to go back and have my redemption at Knockhill as I think it’s an awesome track, reminds me of a mini and wetter Oulton park 😂

Big thanks to Mum and andy for making it an awesome weekend, and although results wise was a poor weekend probably one of the best weekends racing ive had in a long time.

Ian Hopgood always catching the best moments, like the last photo where me and the bike were doing our best impression of Marco Bezzecci and the poor marshal 🤣🤣
