Ford EcoBoost and PSA PureTech engines are known for wet belt degradation, where rubber debris contaminates the oil system and blocks the oil pump pickup screen and turbocharger oil feed filter. 🔧

This can lead to low oil pressure, engine misfires, warning lights and turbo failure, with severe cases resulting in major engine repairs or even replacement.

The comparison shown highlights a heavily blocked turbo feed filter next to a clean new one.
