🚙 Kia Sportage - Gearbox crunching while selecting gears. 🚗

💥 Quite a common fault in these gearbox, the original synchromeshs in the box aren't up to the job and the teeth sheer off or wear down on them. This causes the gears to bang together and crunch into place rather than slotting in seamlessly and this causes the crunching noise you hear! 💥

🚙 Its off for repairs today, hopefully get it back monday and have it in and sorted early next week! 👨‍🔧

⚠️💥 Brake pads got absolutely nothing left to give! 😅💥

This is whats meant by getting the most out of your brakes! Pushed it to the very limit with no damage to the discs!

🚗 Full service on a Nissan Juke 🚙

⚠️while testing the battery we found it only had 49% battery health.😬

⚡️ in my book any battery below 70% health isn't doing too well, and a replacement should be considered 💥

🔧 Although the battery looks new and has full charge i reckon it will still be a problem come the winter! 💥

👨‍🔧 We've let the customer know so now the ball is in there court! 👍

⚡️ Sold! ⚡️

🚙 A few little finishing bits to do after the MOT, couple of advisories to sort but the Corsa has sold and is now all good to go! 🚗

👨‍🔧Its been here a while but its finally time to say good bye to the Vito! ✅️🤣

🚙 This Mercedes has been with us over a month now, it originally came in for a failed A/C compressor that had caused the belt to snap. 🚗

Its leaving with new:
- AC Compressor
- Alternator
- Waterpump
- Drive belt
- Deflection pulleys
- Fan Belt
- 2 tyres
- And a gearbox service!

💥 We found when we had it in pieces that the Deflection pulley and its housing was damaged, this led us on a wild goose chase looking for parts/part numbers/ special tools and ended up with some bits having to be imported in from Germany! 🇩🇪

💥The other pumps and pulleys we replaced preemptively, a few month ago the Power steering pump had failed, now the AC pump had failed! Rather than wait and see which pump failed next the customer opted to replace them all while we had it apart! 👍

👨‍🔧 Its been a lot of work and not a lot of fun but its back on the road now and we're more than happy to see the back of it! 🤣
